  1. It's a side antag on tg, not the main round antag.
  2. This is not at all what I thought you were going to suggest when I read the title. It sounds like a decent idea, but I don't really see any of those chemicals being used very often. Heart paste, for example, would literally require you to murder someone to obtain.
  3. I'm going to throw in a shameless plug for a suggestion, which is largely similar, that I made a few months ago. http://nanotrasen.se/forum/viewtopic.ph ... d+of+round
  4. Extremely meta. What stops that person running around attempting to use it on everyone in order to find antagonists?
  5. I actually pretty much finished porting/adapting this, IIRC. The commit should be available on my repo if anyone wants to take a look. I, er, postponed it because I never figured out what to do with the in-hand icons after that was overhauled and haven't much time to look into it since starting uni.
  6. I'm not suggesting we should use this exact design, just the core concept -- perhaps that didn't come across as intended. Having only a single windoor between prisoners and freedom and a disposals bin that actually leads to disposals is insanely insecure for a brig, IMO. As for the cryopod, that's by no means an essential for a communal brig.
  7. I've brought this up a few times in-game and the responses were largely positive, so I thought I'd make a thread here. I'd be happy to map this myself and submit a PR if there's interest in this. Baystation's brig currently looks a bit like this. The cells are all connected to a communal area prisoners can enter during their sentence. The communal area has some mildly interesting activities for prisoners during their sentences, such as botany, a newscaster, library computer, socialisation, etc. Hopefully, this keeps the prisoners engaged during their sentences and makes the brig a bit less SSD/suicide inducing. The communal area also serves as a permabrig, so permabrig prisoners would no longer effectively be removed from rest of the round. One other feature of the communal brig I think is particularly useful is access to a cryostorage pod. This is great for prisoners, as they don't have to go SSD in their cells, but it also means that criminals can't intentionally go SSD upon being brigged and expect to be dragged out. I suspect a communal brig on Paradise would need to be slightly bigger. This one only supports 3 cells, whereas we currently have 9. If possible, if would be very nice to move the Brig Phys office so they have access to the communal area too.
  8. Not really a fan of this. I don't think slowly creeping towards having an entire medbay inside of the brig would be a good idea.
  9. I really like this idea. Paintballs could be interesting too, perhaps as an alternative to laser tag.
  10. I don't think an NT Rec is really necessary any more, the HoP should really be opening up new job slots instead.
  11. Species abilities shouldn't be for combat, IMO. It encourages needless violence. That's not likely to ever happen. Deadchat isn't really an IC channel at this point. This is actually surprisingly difficult to do in byond. You can easily change the opacity of the object, but not so that it only affects one person.
  12. It's trivially easy to make your own forms, and there's even a wiki page you can copy+paste some common ones from. I don't really think we need pre-made ones in-game. Patient or Prisoner name: [small][field][/small][br][br] Age: [small][field][/small][br][br] Race: [small][field][/small][br][br] Diagnosis: [small][field][/small][br][br] Treatment plan: [small][field][/small][br][br] Notes: [small][field][/small][br][br]
  13. Field surgery, right?
  14. I realize banning end-of-round grief isn't at all feasible, but I don't think this statement is entirely true. Some jobs, particularly scientists and chemists, can have massively overpowered weapons (grenades, bombs, mechs, etc) made solely for the purpose of murdering people during that 60 seconds. These weapons can have a potentially huge impact on the round if, for example, an antag is discovered before the shuttle arrives.
  15. I believe the bug was that mentors could see deadchat emotes, and only emotes.
  16. I don't think they need their own channel, but it would be nice for them to have a channel to communicate on that isn't as full as security. Perhaps they could be given the service channel in addition to security?
  17. I like thich idea.
  18. Honestly, I wouldn't like to see this on Paradise, primarily because of the metacliqueing we already have here. I really can't imagine this would help that.
  19. Are cigarettes even incorporated with the temperature system? Yep! Literally every atom has a reagents datum. The reagent temperature is stored by that datum.
  20. Personally, I would say to get rid of all the snowflake cigarette code for individual reagents, and just make the temperature of the reagents in the cigarette rise.
  21. I think it would be much easier if, instead of grouping injuries by body part, it grouped them by the type of injury. It could look something like: He has tiny bruises on his head, left arm, left hand and right leg. He has fresh skin on his left leg, left foot and right foot. He has moderate burns on his hand, left arm and left hand.
  22. I think basically all current lawsets are too complicated - it allows AIs to find loopholes in them, which can't really be refuted, because everyone has their own interpretation. IMHO, a really simple lawset would work better, something like :- Do not allow crew members to die. Act in the interest of Nanotrasen.
  23. You can only chew on your hands if you're cuffed. Escaping cuffs isn't unintended, it's the sole purpose of the feature.
  24. So did I, unless the /tg/ version is different to ours.
  25. Given the absurd amount of equipment coroner's spawn with in the bag (You only have 1 or 2 free spaces), I'd like to see some sort of coroner's office too, perhaps it could even replace the exam room.
