Skrell virus immunity seems pretty weak to me
TheDemonic replied to TheDemonic's topic in Suggestions
no they are not, not sure how it works but they are meant to be immune to viruses some how probably like Regen's comment it just seems like the likelihood of them being on the list is too high and feels like it their stronger immune system doesn't do much, in my experience. -
I like to play the skrell race and according to their wiki page they have a strong immune system making them immune to more viruses than other races but I haven't noticed a difference. Might just be my bad luck but to me it seems to be pretty useless and a buff might be quite nice.

I would by far prefer mechs on the shuttle than mechs randomly vanishing when an admin notices, sort of breaks the immersion for me, however having an emp gun on the shuttle might be a ok idea.

Soo I wasn't happy with the last boring full beaker shelf So I made these which has a load more color also there you go I made bigger pics for you fox, hope that's better p.s Juuust found I could upload to the forums, Noice.

with doors like this? I also made a hot shelf and a cold shelf juuust in case, so you could maybe have a cabinet for hot stuff or for warming them up and a cold shelf for the opposite. Just an idea.

Just had a little go at making it and I just want your opinions on it. and I know I need to split them up and stuffs this is just for show.

Allowing addictions to be selected as disabilites
TheDemonic replied to Mrs Dobbins's topic in Suggestions
Maybe an easily addicted disability where you get extremely addicted extremely quickly. -
The more customization we get the better.

I think there should be a random chance that when you would normally get the ERT you would instead get the flamboyant rangers! that have silly names and all sorts of silly things.

Sod my idea! This is what we need! if I can get a gold fire axe for atmos I'll be happy.

What does this have to do with my thread? where in my post do I say about winning or achieving goals would equal to role points? did you even read my post or did you just brush it off as someone crying about karma? let me explain it again for you: Role points would be awarded EXACTLY like karma for the EXACT same reasons but the point to this system is to allow you to award multiple people without breaking the balance or the meaning of the Karma system. also it can be used as a lesser RP reward for people who may not deserve karma but still a way to reward people for good RP while again not breaking the balance of the karma system. personally I think the karma system is very good but I still think it has its flaws and that's why I've made this suggestion to attempt to maybe improve it and as there will always be complaints about something but maybe there is a reason behind the complaints. P.s Please don't make assumptions that I or people who are complaing about the karma system are simply walking around going "Hurr durr luk at me ev4yone!" because that's simply not the case. also good on you if you manage to get through this wall of text.
-
no offence but, I already know what the karma system is. That is why I made the role points or whatever around awarding people who deserve it instead of some automated thing, Its strictly made to assist the Karma system and not to replace it or be awarded for something else. That's fair enough but that is for ponies to decide.
-
The idea is what matters, the numbers were just off the top of my head and I thought example numbers would be better too high than too low.
-
So I've been thinking about the karma system and how we can improve it to be a little more spread out. I've always thought that with karma your ether the best out of the group or you get nothing because no one ever thinks "wow this guy is fun but I'm not going to give him karma because everyone else is probably giving him karma and instead I'm going to give it to the guy who is second best!". So I was thinking adding in Role points or good vibes or something that works a little like karma but less powerful. Lets say you get 2 or 3 to give out each round to people and every 70 or so rp you get, you get a karma. also you can not give a karma or rp to someone who has already been awarded points from you. what do you think? Edit: since People seem to be getting confused, Role points will be awarded EXACTLY like karma so people who do not deserve them simply won't get them. They are NOT awarded for anything simply surviving or achieving something in the round.

Blobs reattach to corpses far too quickly
TheDemonic replied to Streaky Haddock's topic in Suggestions
It would also be nice if it had a cooldown on tiles, because its really annoying when you burn through a blob tile just to have it grow back instantly making it impossible to carve a path through the blob or anything. -
I always have the noises off just because that buzzing gives me a headache but I can see why some people kinda like it. So don't remove it maybe add an option to disable just the buzzing in the options that way no one has a problem.

Changelings who are implanted automatically lose
TheDemonic replied to Streaky Haddock's topic in Suggestions
Once they're implanted, they're not even allowed to do objectives. They're loyal to NT so now they can no longer even do their objectives because it will go against the implant. I like the fact that implants can mess with their powers and agree that this should be possible, that there are chemicals in the loyalty implant that disables you from being antag. But that is normal races who is to say that a changeling should be effected the same way, I mean do the NT know the real form of a changeling or even if they could evolve to counter the implant? I 100% understand if it says somewhere in the lore but if not, why don't we take advantage of it. -
I was thinking something like the diona but with permanent and far more fragile buildings but with a new race that are mushrooms. now that I think about it maybe I will make a separate forum post for it instead of putting a wall of text here and getting off topic.

Changelings who are implanted automatically lose
TheDemonic replied to Streaky Haddock's topic in Suggestions
Instead of making them automatically losing why not have the implant mess with their powers or something, for example if a changeling gets implanted he is no longer able to change form or evolve more powers. meaning he doesn't lose and has no reason to rat out his friends but it does mean that his objectives are ten times harder for him and makes tracking him ten times easier.
