Try unenforceable unless you add something coding wise to stop it. How can we as admins know what characters are ghost role characters or not? Plus there's usually only a few of us trying to handle over a hundred people.

@Kyet has explained this at length to people who have asked for save slot ghost role characters in the past. You are by intent and design not supposed to have save slot ghost role characters. Because if you had one of your station side characters working on a syndie base why would NT even hire you? (And he can probably still explain it better than I. Sorry for the ping.)

I'm not a fan of this idea. The entire reason nukies have the autoimplanter is because they don't have a medbay. Plus they don't have the time to actually go to it and get the implant even if they did. The reason things are the way they are is so medbay has things to do other than just cloning and saving lives. And the reason sol traders have them is because they're kind of supposed to have some overpowered stuff just so they have a reason to sell it.

Ok this handles female super mater shards which I will find incredibly useful. But what about the subset of our player base who might be more inclined towards male super matter shards? Same tips apply?

I'm honestly not a fan of this change. In my opinion botany is already in major need of nerfs as it is as you've stated already. They can make better healing than Chemistry more reliably and faster, they can make better grenades than scichem faster than scichem, and they have a hard counter for quite a few antags. Giving them a way to make even better healing tools than they already can just feels like we're buffing something that already really doesn't need it.

I'll be honest with you. If we do no restrictions at least one of those departments will no longer exist by about twenty minutes in and the other will be mostly gone. So if I ever went with this event idea I'm not giving them hijack level leeway.
