  1. The last one is glorious. From now on I'll only think of that when I deal with somebody.
  2. Tiger, this is too good of an idea.
  3. Errr... if we're thinking of adding things for IPCs being low on power, why not anybody low on food in the first place? Headaches, hallucinations, drooling, etc.? Not sure we'd need literal, full on seizures though, but going mute or deaf due to power loss would be interesting, but get old pretty quickly. As Erf said, return of the hairballs.
  4. Eh, I concur, sure the memes suck, but there's no need to purge them, especially since they aren't shoved in your face.
  5. Obviously a heretic.
  6. This is a good point. Though I'd say one minute at most is being more than gracious with time.
  7. I was starting to miss some audio logs from Jonah, it's not exactly the same, and I'm not sure if you like people butting in in character on things or breaking the semi-fourth wall, but I like seeing people write these. Gives a real sense of the inside thoughts of the character.
  8. There's unwritten rules that go with suiciding, and to be entirely honest, I don't think we should take it away. Yes, you can use it in a lot of situations, but we do have a number of repercussions for it. Caught by cultists and converted or thralled by a ling? Suicide and earn yourself a warning, followed by a permanent or week long antag ban if you repeat it.. Suicide when caught by sec? Get notes and warnings, then eventually a ban if they do it too much. Suicide tactics as an antag are acceptable and a fairly efficient way to use your powers, especially since things like mindswap knock out both targets and could actually lead to anybody with sense to axe the antag before he wakes up. (Note, we've gone under discussion about reworking the way antag-banned players actually react when an antag tries to convert them so as to benefit the antag for their time while still preventing the banned player from reaching an antag position.)
  9. Spiderseal's name was Prof. Sealington II, in case that was required info.
  10. "The gods look favourably up-" "HE'S A CHANGELING, BURN HIM! BURN HIM AND SMASH HIM!" Slightly more serious, would a little bit of 'divine sparkling' to go along with a rejuv be fitting, considering it is technically the gods working a miracle? Just a light temporary sparkle overlay, nothing supremely obvious and in your face, like a flash of lightning. Goddamn Zeus What if the God is Dave?
  11. Was this the round I set up that stage in escape and turned the floor into wood. Then somebody brought me a space bear and space carp to strap to the chairs? Because I distinctly remember Spark revealing a tower of colorful burgers that blotted out the sun dressed as a pirate. Unless he makes tower burgers regularly and always dresses as a pirate.
  12. ATV, Motorcycle, and sports car all work fine actually.
  13. The problem with blatantly showing you "this is an administrator's doing, please hold." Is that it heavily breaks immersion. Administrative tools are fairly obvious to point out, but when it comes to events, there really doesn't need to be that giant neon sign that says "Hey, an admin did this, this is why this is here." As it stands, I think it should be fine with our current layout. We have our obvious tools for punishment, and then we have our tools for events. Gibbing, as you've stated, is actually an event tool. Leaving a large "Admin did this" sign, would take away from the look and feel of an event. As for something such as teleportation, rejuvenation, etc. A visual effect really shouldn't be included. We use rejuving and teleporting for events more than we actually use it to patch up grief, and so having a big admin effect would be incredibly detrimental to the context it was used in depending on immersion. On another note, an admin is likely to tell you exactly what's happened if you ahelp or try to mess with the newly rejuved player. I can count numerous occasions where a player has ahelped Player:"Nerd 1 just got up, did you rejuv him?" Admin Response:"Nerd 1 was a victim of grief, carry on." I'm not sure having obvious admin tools other than the freeze tool should really be included, because the other tools are usually multipurpose and meant for behind the scenes action. If an administrator is abusing their powers, every other admin online can see the majority of what they do. It logs people entering build mode, rejuving, teleporting, freezing, adding notes, warnings, bans, unbans, job bans, assuming control, force saying, subtle messaging, direct narrating, mob spawning, variable changing, fax responses, fax sending, Central Command announcements, ooc announcements, gun summons, magic summons, floor is lava, and more. Most of the time, an admin is more likely to be interfering with the game than working on punishment, as, in our downtime, we often do events. As for the rule and punishment management, the effects of the administration are obvious in that 1: Nerd 1 rises from the dead suddenly 2: Walls and floors begin appearing in space where a bomb went off. 3: Somebody who was actively hitting another person or actively doing something falls over suddenly with admin text showing up above them. and the rest is mostly behind the scenes and dealing with PMs. Even then, we rarely use freeze, build mode, or rejuv outside of events (and we don't even use freeze during events, just rule 4 cases when the player completely ignores the PMs). To be obvious when enforcing the rules actually ruins immersion due to making it incredibly obvious. We try to stick to PMs as much as possible and expect the player to react calmly and maturely. If they end up not doing either of those things, we have to decide whether to break immersion through a freeze or rejuv the victim. Of course, neither is too good with it, seeing as how a dead person just standing up or that guy who was going on a rampage just fell over with a streak of lightning and a giant pink "admin" label over him. Most of the time, it's just not good to make it obvious.
  14. I have a strong feeling against this. It's shitty for validhunters and murderboners to be around, but it's even shittier to have both. We have good antags at the moment, so I'd really like to look into ways of getting rid of muhvalidz prior to the removal of six. Rule six is intended to keep the round fun for everybody, not just an antag vs sec war or antag vs sec + validhunter war. Antags right now are very careful, and there are shortcomings to that, but when it comes to the rules, rule 6 actually has helped prevent some serious cases of greif in the past and often early round ends that would have had nothing to do with their objective. As much as it'd be fun to have free objective antags, it's abused way too much, and often times used to grief "because I can". We see this with hijack in its current state. The main thing I love about rule 6 is this "If you’re selected for an antagonist role, then treat it as an interesting challenge and not an excuse to destroy other peoples’ game experience. Your actions should make the game more fun, more exciting and more enjoyable for everyone. Even or perhaps especially your victims."
  15. Played diona once on alien round. Got attacked by multiple hunters and hit with acid spit a few times. About ten seconds later I stand up and begin toolboxing one... again.
  16. Damn it Dobbins, you reset it. Remember that I count as a user thanks to Adr. 2
  17. If this is the round I think it is. That giant seal was actually a space pod that they climbed into and drove around. It could go through windows. I made the sprite for it. Here it is.
  18. Prepping seals to shove down his gullet...
  19. Last I checked she was dicking with staff chat and eating the vines in Ponies' basement.
  20. 3, and yes, he said I count as a default user.
  21. NEEEEERRRRDDDD
