I'd rather not have everybody able to speak racial languages, the idea of some people being able to speak Trinary, Bubblish or Chittin feels biologically impossible. I'm okay with people being able to UNDERSTAND Bubblish, Siktaj-whatsit and stuff, but they shouldn't be able to speak it. I'd also be cool with a special encryption key being able to translate things as well. Also the Universal Recorder translates everything it records.

What about a clown language? I think that would be a wonderful idea and would add more languages for people to speak in!

I'll clarify it to be CRYSTAL CLEAR because I don't want to get in the mentality of 'it's abused so remove it' because misuse of radio is a genuinely useful and if I remove it, Officers will probably use 'hooliganism' or something as a sentence, another which I'll have to remove. FJ, your mentality seems to be: 'EH REMOVE ENOUGH LAWS AND OFFICERS WILL COMPENSATE BY TWISTING DEFINITIONS' which is what I don't want. Besides maybe changing the default sentence to a minute, changing the definition to be clearer is all i'm willing to do.

The point is, two proposals for a monitor watching job have been brought up and been shot down. Why then would a job role with a special satellite which does the same job get through, particularly when it involves multiple job slots?

Coroner is fine as an MD role. I love being a Coroner, but I am quite often the only person in Medbay who knows what he's doing, and I like the flexibility of being able to pitch in and actually keep medbay moving. One of the lovely things about the dead is that they're not going to go anywhere, they can afford to wait a little longer while I fix someone's broken leg.

The Coroner doesn't need a fax machine.

Add a body scanner to the Morgue. So I can print out health reports so I don't have to manually write out all the blood, bones and organ damage.

I love Dobbin's idea with the addition that you be able to strap people who are in stasis or bodybags onto the rollerbed somehow.

Maybe, if you wanted to make things more complex and make a sub-section of Law that refers to each specific department. However I don't want Space Law to become overly complex, and I stiiiill kinda feel that if you want to tell someone how to do their job, or how NOT to do their job, SOP would be the way to do it. However, Space Law IS also the first place anybody checks.
