  1. 1) Omnipotent machines vs human safeguards, especially in reference to the airlocks. 2) Cyborgs do need a way to replenish their supplies (including having a storage for fuel for their welder?). I would favour limited stocks with a resupply station over materialising materials out of power.
  2. Nations is in rotation but is at a much lower % chance than the other game-modes. It is still a work in progress.
  3. If more people gave karma more often, the prices off the karma perks would go up to compensate.
  4. I am totally fine with this. Brig Physician should get a pair as well.
  5. Don't drones have access to a T-Ray scanner? So for the "ghost" image of what the original wiring was, check http://80.244.78.90/wiki/images/5/54/Fu ... il_Map.png (but it hasn't been updated in a while)
  6. I did want to make some changes to Virology, what you suggest is similar to the code block randomisation of powers/disabilities in genetics. It's a good idea but I wouldn't call it a "fix". I also want some way of controlling/altering the rate of progression. I have big plans, but cannot implement them yet.
  7. Nice idea but days and days of coding to implement. Much bigger fish to fry for the next... year at least.
  8. So how about this for a compromise: Two different types of surgery depending on intent: Help/disarm intent surgery has a lower chance of failure but is slower and will not cause accidental damage. Grab/harm intent surgery has a higher chance of failure, is faster, but often causes additional bruising. Differentiating between routine surgery and emergency surgery. Best of both worlds. Imagine the damage caused when that embryo is ripped out now. It's not going to fail, but their organ(s) will need repair afterwards.
  9. Large amounts of sleep toxin should be a viable workaround.
  10. Customs Officer was raised because the amount of grief it can cause is high, therefore limiting it through high karma cost. I can see the same problem with Blueshields, and NT representatives. Mechanic is the only one I'd even entertain the idea of lowering the cost for.
  11. So, to re-confirm, I will be adding a failure % chance for: all surgery on a non-anaesthetised patient all surgery not done on an operating table Quite when this will happen, I don't know, I have other things to work on currently.
  12. Space Law always applies. If the mob isn't punished by security on station, they definitely will at Central if they have information and evidence.
  13. On topic, totally possible Streaky. There's other things in the pipe for nations at the moment.
  14. I suppose it depended on the player, but in my first three weeks of playing I had amassed 50 karma, all through ingame votes. I'd be interested in more figures like the average karma given per shift, and player's average karma gains per shift. I believe there should be other ways of gaining karma, but the current spriteing contests and wiki update rewards are a good incentive for now.
  15. The following can be considered IC knowledge. For it to be restricted IC knowledge to say Security, add [Clearance: Security] before the text. Sec and Medical records are Sec/Medical clearance. Name: Chlora L'Hydrate Age: 28 Gender: Female Race: Human Blood Type: B+ General Occupational Role(s): Brig Physician, Virologist, Chief Medical Officer, Chemist. Biography: Qualifications: Earned her Chief Medical Officer command during The Great Shitstorm on the NGS Cyberiad as acting CMO, successfully isolating an antibody and distributing to most of the surviving crew despiting being blind, mute from a changling sting, having two broken legs and severe brain damage from incomplete cloning. Employment Records: Apprenticed aboard the NSS Cyberiad as a chemist, and soon expanded into all medical fields. Recommended for command and destined for greatness, she prefers to keep her nose to the ground rather than accept promotions to higher positions. Currently enjoying a placement after the successful trial as brig physician. Helped develop the lock on the stasis bags, reducing their waste to <10% of their previous levels. Security Records: A pinnacle of example to the entire station, L'Hydrate is very loyal to Nanotrasen, often popping a smart salute when dealing with command, and is respectful towards security offiers and other nanotrasen higher ups. Has a very clean record, and does not misuse the additional access she often asks for during shifts. Medical Records: Chlora is somewhat of a bionicophobe, preferring biology over mechanics. She refuses to have any damage replaced with mechanical parts, instead relying solely on cloning technology and traditional medicine. No known injuries on file, and has a much lower cloning per shift rate than most other staff. Personnel Photo: Description: 5'6 with a slight build. Vivid red hair always kept immaculately straight. Deep green eyes. Slight dimpling in cheeks. She has two facial expressions, her usual half smile, and her no-smile "you're about to be fired" look. Commendations: None Reprimands: None Other Notes: None
  16. I wish there was an easy way to code in their better eyesight in low light levels ingame, but BYOND just doesn't support that.
  17. This already applies to surgeons who have shakes from e.g. high caffine dosage. Only makes sense to have to apply to the patient as well.
  18. First thing I do every shift as the CE is buckle Poly to a chair.
  19. I totally support adding a failure % chance on concious players who can feel pain. This goes hand in hand with a failure % rate for operating on non surgical tables (the reason I added surgical table construction to plasteel recently). This is something I was talking about with ponies recently.
  20. As title, because I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to change the atmo in normal cloning to N2 to clone a vox, and realising switching it back and forth between N2 and air is so inefficient, cloning one vox screws over the entire crew.
  21. Well there's shutters now, and basically all the things you asked for it seems. The only thing it lacks is a copy of Space Law but that can be found on the table outside the brig.
  22. Being a touch-typist helps greatly with typing a lot. Streaky, it was me who said we can access the server files and get the image, but for the Jobs page you'll want a full body shot with all the clothes on which is easier ingame. I'm likely to buy the magistrate job as my first karma spend anyway so we'll have that one at least when it's finished.
  23. On the map note, I know how to pull a copy of the server from github to view the map, but the only way to export it afaik is to screenshot it in sections and paste it together manually... Virology guide now has the info on advanced virology, or how to make the perfect virus from only one starting dish.
  24. Don't worry, I'll expand on this greatly when I'm finished with the medical wiki pages, about air controls, re-piping atmos, reading the pipes and all sorts of wonderful things.
