  1. Hey oldies! My interest in Paradise has gone up and down but totally, I've racked up 620 hours since December 2019. A friend introduced me to SS13 and we played on TG servers from time to time. Kinda lost contact with him but I still had an interest in the game and well, Paradise was the most popular server at the time. At first I just enjoyed the mechanics of the game and wanted to be an engineer. I loved the absolute chaos some rounds could give. But the reason why I still play is probably roleplay and gimmicks. The game is just such a niché and although there is a lot of room for improvement, it is a breath of fresh air playing this hellish table-top-like game with 80 space wackos. My first character was Theodor Dryfus, just a random cargo dude trying his best in this weirld world. I didn't put much effort at the character, I think he was a smuggler from Mars or something. Fast forward to 2020 and I created my most well known character Jim Tate. At first he was very unpolished. I was like, an old unhinged SolGov veteran seems fun I guess? But I kinda couldn't let go and gradually improved on him over the past two years to something I am fairly proud of. Some dislike my style of RP but heck, I've befriended many along the way and a few OOCly. I'm content. I've had many interesting rounds over the years, but here are some memorable ones. One round I converted the abandoned office and opened Jim's Gentleman and Lady shop, for all your classy needs. Everyone would get top-notch service, trying out the latest fashion in a dressing room and once an outfit is perfected, they would get a picture hanged up marking their status as a proper gentleman/lady. It actually got pretty cramped at one point with a queue of customers outside, and even the captain and his blueshields showed up before a meeting with the NT rep. Screenshot of my shop setup, the duct-taped images are of all proud customers. Another round, me and a space bud had a great time at the mechanic's workshop until a blob took over the station. In panic we crash landed our space pod at an USSP station, forcing Jim to his bitter past once more. We had no weapons. Through the dizzying corridors we ran from the shooting soldiers and managed to barricade ourselves at the geneticist. We tried to contact NT but to no avail. It ended in tradegy since Jim's friend bleed out on the cold metal floor, somewhat resembling how he lost his best friend in the marine corps... It was quite, dramatic. And of course there are many other stories, but this is getting a bit long. It sure is a trip down the memory lane.
  2. Randomly stumbled into this goldmine and... dolls, such a fun and merry idea! You made all of these yourself?
  3. Oho! Old School is all the rage you youngsters! Come on down to the Ladies and Gentlemen shop for all your formal needs!
  4. Clearly we have to take power generation to the next level! I'd say there should be a Deca SM at roundstart, heck, two Deca SMs!
  5. Brilliant idea! I am especially keen on the idea of an instant response from the wild fauna in comparison to the harvester goal which requires nonsensical amounts of power for defense to even be discussed. Will be fun to see this project develop!
  6. They remind me of Jules and Vincent from Pulp Fiction. Love it!
  7. Such a lovely idea! But I bet my cane is longer than their dwarfish axes!
  8. Will make this post have all related art of Jim Tate. Enjoy! Tea addict rockin' in a bowler hat Bishop Cybernetic Arm Contribution to the "Draw your stickman" challenge
  9. Sauron gave six rings to the Dwarf-kings
  10. Yeet on NT's medical bills. Cute voxxies also :3
  11. Welcome, authorised personnel, please select a file. JIM TATE, NSS CYBERIAD Loading file… Biography: Jim Tate started off in humble beginnings, in the rural outskirts of Earth, Northern Ireland. His hometown wasn’t particularly fancy or anywhere near the cityscape, though Jim could not complain. His parents, two bright entrepreneurs, owned a modest company in the region supplying BioTech solutions. And for some time, Jim even had an accompanying grandfather whom he loved dearly. Life was well. The grandfather, also from the entrepreneurial roots, was now retired, wasting his hours in his workshop. Jim was fond of that place. He could stare with ardent interest on his grandfather messing with machines and the sort. Eventually, Jim got the gist of the thing too. That childhood curiosity sparked an interest that would last a lifetime. Years passed, life was not so exciting any longer, but instead became more and more routine. Jim could not tolerate living such a petty life. He started to gaze outwards. In this period of teenage rebelhood, Jim befriended an amazing friend, Eamon. They did everything together. They had the same ardent passions. The two could’ve fallen off a cliff to save the other. Jim considered him a brother. Once they reached adulthood, Jim and Eamon finally set foot in the real world. Although they were rurals, they were still in TSF lands. They both agreed it would be ideal to fulfil their military service early on, and thus get full citizenship before entering some form of workforce. However the plan changed when their jaws dropped from excitement. They drafted into the marine engineers - It was everything a bored, engineer wannabe rural could’ve ever hoped for. So instead they stuck around with the TSF marines, climbing the ranks, performing ever more fierce missions. It reached a point of them being in the CX5-Battalion, one of the highly prestigious divisions. Requesting military records from SolGov database. Connection established. Printing record… Requesting interview records, please select a file. INTERVIEW - 03/04/2508 Printing transcript… Jim Tate has been loyal to Nanotrasen from the start and is grateful for the life change. It’s been years since his employment at NMS Legoslov and he is now transferred to NSS Cyberiad. Over the years he’s befriended many and has become quite a regular. He has made peace with his past but reportedly still carries a picture of his best friend. – END FILE –
