  1. Perhaps there could be an indicator that let's both the crew and the alien know what tile it's truly on.
  2. Blue fedora
  3. They're there, just not made live yet. Probably because the people who can merge pull requests (not me) don't have enough time to test most things. Aye, good show. Can't wait for the update.
  4. Another update without HoP shutters
  5. Hmmhm. Again, I think it's due to the fact that the Staff on this server that update the server don't care about the HoP.
  6. (The new argument) Sorry about my lack of posting this new argument I mentioned a few days ago. I've been wrapped up in school and haven't bothered with this until today. So, here it is: 1. This picture represents the command portion of the station. Inside contains the Bridge, AI, Captain's Office + Storage, Conference, the Account computer, and lastly, my good old friend, the HoP's office. 2. This picture demonstrates the Command Horseshoe.. Once you're in the horseshoe, you can realistically travel through the doors without the worry of blast doors or any other defenses. The horseshoe itself has a visible perimeter and a regular crew member can't enter this area without aid. Instead of a circle or box that includes the AI, I've drawn a horseshoe because the AI's chambers are strictly off limits and crew (Even heads) don't normally walk around those rooms. 3. This last picture represents the horseshoe again, but this time the HoP's office has been colored red. This is to show the weakness of the horseshoe itself. Every other part of the horseshoe has either a wall, or glass with shutters that can be lowered. Since the HoP's office lacks shutters, it becomes the weakest part of the horseshoe. If a syndi wished to enter the horseshoe, the quickest entrance would be through the HoP's windows. Let's not forget the HoP's computer that can change any ID's access is vulnerable as well. "Updated" Server List Below are servers that have HoP shutters. I feel sad that Paradise station, a server that keeps up to date with SS13 code, doesn't have HoP Shutters. (The list will be updated as I visit other servers) Yogstation Best RP NSS Aurora Hippie Station 13 General lack of care for HoP Recently the HoP's armor and energy gun were removed from the starting lockers. I don't know the reason for this removal, but the reason itself isn't important. As the station's departments keep getting upgraded, the HoP's office has sat without any updates besides the removal of the gear. The HoP offices that I've visited above have mostly been updated with the gear still in the lockers. I believe that this server just forgotten about the HoP. Like I said before, it's an important job, and the people that frequent this server need to be reminded of that. Last note I may post another argument, but for now I've exhausted my arguments. Yet, I would like to see a response from this server's staff. Even if it's just a post of acknowlagement, I wouldn't mind. This topic has been seen numerous times and has plenty of replies. I think it merits something.
  7. Still a problem bump
  8. I'm not letting this topic die. I will, however, be adding a new argument soon.
  9. This
  10. I believe that if Virology was made a karma job, a virus could break out during rounds that there isn't a Virologist. Sure the CMO could run in and find a cure, but at that point, should there really be a virologist job? If the concern is that the Virologist is doing his work un-observed, then perhaps we should consider moving Virology itself, perhaps where everyone in medbay can walk by and see it. If quarantine is a problem, then the room can easily be locked down and perhaps have it's own air supply the CMO/Someone can control. TL:DR Don't make it karma, just move it.
  11. ^
  12. Add shutters to HoP's office.
  13. Bumping because this is still valid/relevent
  14. I can't agree more with this.
  15. That would be great
  16. Aye, I can see their equipment being very pirate like. Pirate coat, jumper, etc...
  17. I can see it being a custom event, but I also think it could be a game-mode. I think, however, it is versatile.
  18. Similar to Syndicates, the group of pirates would spawn away from the station. Their mission would be to plunder the station, or steal certain valuable objects. This game-mode would end with the pirates' demise/escape. Since they're space pirates, their equipment would either be makeshift or stolen. They wouldn't carry high-tech weaponry, but they would still be armed. Their space-suits would be weak, but they do the job. Since their objects would not include destroying the station, how they're played would be different than syndicates. This game-mode has probably already been discussed, but I want to bring it back up because my character, Rodger Bizzardly, would be proud of this game-mode.
  19. Yeah, I think there should be karma or some kind of currency that is awarded to players for doing their jobs. It would help the players who actually work hard on the station by rewarding them. When I play IAA, I'm good at messaging centcom about my problems, but the only problem is that sometimes the admins don't respond. Perhaps there could be a job or a small admin job to be centcom's fax receiver. It might not be the most exciting job, but I'd do it.
  20. Ah, 18 here. Fun to find people with same birthdays.
  21. shiiiiit, how old are you?
  22. Today is my birthday
