It makes no mechanical difference since species stuff is held in the mob not in the limbs. Considering this is a thing in surgery, I'm presuming it would be a simple enough thing to just latch on to the character preferences code? I'm only really suggesting this because I think plant limbs are cool as hell. So I'm not going to pretend this is coming from a place of intricate code knowledge beyond watching purplegenie dissect a diona and slap an arm on a naked baldie in the admin station.
