Eli was born on [REDACTED]station as it was besieged by pirates. Eli's birth father was killed in the insuring defense for the station, his birth mother was injured, and was able to make it to a pod with him before she bled to death (Collected from Stations AI black box). A Private Military Corporation named Lyondell happened upon the distress beacon that Eli's escape pod was emitting, and subsequently taken in and mothered by a Maria Jones, the PMC's Medical Doctor and only Surgeon.

Not much is known about Eli's childhood and teen years because of Lyondell's counterintelligence, and previously signed treaties     from Operation [REDACTED], except that he was home-schooled and trained by his mother to become a doctor like herself and mentored by the some of the soldiers in combat. When Eli turned 18 he was enrolled into Lyondell's ranks as a Combat Medic where he served for roughly 10 years, being in 3 combat zones and in 2 major scale operations. During Operation [REDACTED] Eli's squad were ambushed and wiped out, out of the six squad members only him and another member survived. Somehow surviving the environment, Eli was able to make it back to the main fleet alive, but not in one peace. Eli's right leg and arm, severely damaged from the explosion and going necrotic, were amputated. With Lyondell not willing to have a handicapped combat medic, Eli was honorably discharged and put on a small off-world colony for roughly 12 years, where it is believed that Eli was working in black market trading and had gained some ties to the Syndicate.

After a long while, Eli resurfaced, when he was arrested and tried for attempted murder of an individual. Eli was acquitted by the Judge on grounds of self defense (further investigation showed that the Judge was fraudulent). Eli went back to dealing in black market goods for 3 years, where he was caught and charged with the stealing and selling of military grade, experimental laser weaponry. Eli was found guilty and served 8 years in prison. After serving his sentence in full, Eli used some black market ties, managed to acquire some civilian grade prosthetic limbs, from what was reported as a stolen Shellguard Munition transport, believed to be on purpose to fix his disabilities. After 2 years of underground service for unknown employers, he was hired by Nanotrasen recruiters due to treaties and for his plentiful job skills and experience, and stationed on the NSS Cyberiad until further notice.

BIRTH PARENTS - Eli's birth parents were Jessie Blair, an English scientist, and Connor O'Neill an Irish bartender. By what the station records show, Jessie was "knocked up" by Connor during a rowdy Christmas party and were willing to take the child to term. During birth, the station was besieged by pirates. Connor died in an ensuing defense of the station, while Jessie, and other personnel ran to the escape pods. The recovered station AI black box that recorded the information claimed that Jessie was badly injured, via a pistol shot to the abdomen. She and the baby were able to make it to the escape pods. The last thing the AI black box was able to give us was that Jessie was able to put Eli into a sleeper for rescue, while she bled to death inside the escape pod.

ADOPTIVE PARENT - Maria Jones was raised on a large mega-city of Earth. She studied medicine and surgery at a prestigious school and passed with honors, but as the robotics age was gaining traction, more and more human doctors were becoming less sufficient and was being vetted out by robotic counterparts. Maria made the decision to join the PMC Lyondell as a Medical Doctor, in order to save her career and get a stable job. There she worked for roughly 60 years, finding and raising Eli and retiring from Lyondell, due to age. Little is known about her whereabouts and current actions because of Lyondell treaties and protection against intelligence.

 

 

 

 

Operation [REDACTED] (Known as Silk Dawn) [ONLY ACCESSED BY CC]

Operation Silk Dawn was a Nanotrasen green-lit black operation that was assisted by certain PMC's including Lyondell. The operation's details were to retake and protect armor research and production establishment on planet Kelper-2B. The R&D plant was taken over by radicalized natives and holding the scientist's, and Research Director hostage, so Nanotrasen decided to hire PMC's and deal with the radicals once and for all. The Operation was a minor success, but caused 268 casualties (includes combatants and civilians) and 682 injured.

Eli was part of a small reconnaissance team of six people ordered to find a clear landing zone for the main attacking force but was ambushed by a radical patrol before they reached their objective. From Eli's interviews after ex-fill, his squad was on retreat, when an explosion was caused amongst one of the soldiers (No details were given as to what caused the explosion). Most of the squad was  decimated, leaving only Eli and a fellow member to survive. Eli and his squad member survived out in the wild for approximately 4 days, and was picked up at a FOB.

After Operation Silk Dawn's completion, hired PMC leaders convened, wanting to renegotiate the terms of contracts with NT, debating that off Intel led to mass casualty situations and wanted reparations for both PMC's and soldiers that fought in the operation. After a few months of re-negotiations, it was agreed on Lyondell that 2 things were to happen on both sides. First, Nanotrasen could not research and Data-log anything or anyone relating to Lyondell, and secondly that both Lyondell be paid reparations for lost equipment and men, and that Eli also gets reparations (given later in life) for the damage to his body and mind. On Lyondell's side, they were told that the true details of Operation Silk Dawn, was to never see the light of day and that Eli would become a member of Nanotrasen to be used wherever, whether he likes it or not. Both sides agreed and an Non-Disclosure Agreement was signed by both Lyondell and Eli (upon being a member of Nanotrasen) and reparations paid (Eli's is given with his pay, a "hazard" bonus added on top of his normal pay).

Other Notes:

Eli is very prideful and overprotective, if he senses danger, he will either hunker down and fight, or if the odds are against him flee to a more defensive position, he will protect close friends and colleagues at any cost. Eli will continue to act on his or others behalf, no matter the risks.
