Make anomalies unable to spawn in atmos

At the moment anomalies can spawn in Atmos, making anything it do completely devastating

A vortex has a habit of rupturing the 3 containing areas that are vital for the station

A plasmatic has the habit of spawning inside Nitrogen containment, making the air into plasma mixed with air.

The bluespace one has the habit of ripping every god damn pipe off and ruining the set-up

I believe the problem is more, that the spawn point of anomalies is at the southern tanks and not in the main room.

 

You can't scan what is out of your reach.

 

I'd go with making the anomalies last longer, so the crew can actually scan them and moving the spawn point to center of atmos.

 

Also I'd consider making bluespace anomalies ignore windows, so they don't expose 1/4 of the station to space.

 

This solution would follow the popular SS13 design paradigm: "Shit happens. Give players tools to deal with it when it does."

More like make atmos repairable.....atmos is unable to be repaired usually....ethier the chambers go and we lose all the gas in them or an irreplaceable atmos device is destroyed, or more rarely the pipe machines go...

 

Atmospherics is a repair place imo, once its gone theres nothing to repair the repair place since the repair place was destroyed.

 

 

 

 

Meteors too often mean end game simce they break the gas chambers

Also a side note on vortexes.

They are close to impossible to shut down, because they drag all things in the room towards it inside the room, when it breaks things like walls and reinforced walls it leaves the metal and reinforced metal left to be dragged and flinged across the room.

This makes it almost impossible to stop it, as it not only damage you, but makes anything that can be picked up into a weapon against you, doing WAY too much damage (3-5 hits makes you go in crit)

Well yes, in this case vortex anomaly probably should be nerfed somewhat. Maybe by making it only damage structures, not people.

 

Anyways: It would probably be wise to stop vortex anomalies from spawning in atmos for now. At least until we could make everything in atmos replaceable.
