Complaint: Sorry for this being so long, its just a lot of content.

Here's a short summary, I was the captain this round and the AI was being a total dick and had me arrested just for smoking (seriously?). I made an admin complaint about that and bonewhite got mad at me for referring to the AI as a "shitler" in the complaint. I felt it was justified since the AI was acting like a totalitarian and a terrible one at that. Anyway, after I explained to bonewhite why I had said that, he banned me from ooc even though I said it in adminhelp. After trying to talk to him about it, I got banned from the server by him for "repeated profanity" even though I only said that one word and apologized for it. Anyway, I saved the log so you could see what had happened. (I was John Romero by the way)

Insulting someone behind their back isn't any more pleasant than doing it to their face.

 

Bone white asked you to stop, because quite frankly it's not our place nor role to hear you bitching about other people. You could have expressed your difficulties with the AI in a mature, responsible way. Instead you chose to describe them as "Shitler".

 

Had you simply acknowledged the request to stop it wouldn't have needed to go further. Instead you proceeded to argue with the admin.

 

I may have missed something amidst the long torrent of log you posted, so an edit would be appreciated for proper handling of this complaint. However from a surface reading, it looks as though Bone White's actions were justified under the circumstances.

To be honest, I don't really understand the complaint here.

 

Bone-white clarified with you that "shitler" was meant as an insult, you then followed up with "fuck the AI".

 

You were told to stop and had OOC privileges revoked because you seemed to feel that using OOC venues to insult other players were appropriate and we didn't want to risk you doing it in a public forum until we had your commitment to stop.

 

You never gave us that commitment and showed no understanding that your actions could be offensive. You were banned only at your own request at the end.

 

I was on at the same time, communicating privately with Bone-white and approved the ban.

 

Since I was involved myself, I will allow the other admins to chime in here. It's not appropriate for me to make a ruling about actions I was a part of.
