so now i have a permaban .... because this fucking trialadmin felt he needed to polish his ban hammer ....

We were enforcing server policy which is to roleplay, sec would probably be milder towards you if you changed your tone and sitting in a brig for such a time isnt an issue we deal with since they werent breaking any rules

it's not that i think he is unfit ....

 

i think that in this instance he overreacted... and took a bit of pleasure in seeing me squirm ....

because i criticized his handling of the situation between devee and myself.

 

so rather than correct devee's incorrect behavior ... he let me stay detained for an extreme amount of time.

my suggestion is that he stays a trial admin .... because he's not ready for admin ....

"because i acted like a special snowflake" is an ironic statement considering what a drama diva you would have to be to say it.

 

in the end ... he used everything i said to devee in a very punitive (and stretched meaning of the rules) ban against me ....

i was banned for hurting kluys feelings, by insisting that he enforce the role of space law on a sec officer who was ignoring it

14. Security:

 

Read the Space Laws.

Understand that this isn't the middle ages and starting off with lethal force against those posing a non-lethal threat is murder.

Permabrigging (the official one or a makeshift one) is also functionally the same as murder. Don't do it unless the law allows.

Leaving prisoners buckle cuffed - which is when you tie someone to a chair or bed after already they are already handcuffed, is only to be done for exceptionally violent prisoners.

 

Devee never used lethal force, he did not permabrig you either, and only bucklecuffed you while processing and after you tried to escape by breaking the window, he was also acting according to the spacelaw and following orders. He asked about the RD, but could not confirm your story, so he kept you there to clear it up. Meanwhile you insulted him multiple times ICly, which is a crime, and tried to break out, which is a much worse crime. Trying to prove your innocency by breaking the law is not usually a smart idea, and rarely ever works. In this case you were innocent, probably, but it was an IC misunderstanding, and should be cleared up ICly, by some head of staff with authorization, the IAA, the NT rep, etc. , not by the admins. It becomes admin matter only if they arrest people for no or poor reasons, or when they give ridiculous punishments, or use lethal force without proper justification or authorization, and stuff of that kind. Neither of those listed happened here.

1. Listen to the admins.

Admins can and will ban you for anything they deem worthy of a ban. If you feel it unfair you are free to appeal and/or complain in the allocated threads.

Admins can and will mute you from a specific chat or all (ic, ooc etc) if you are being hostile, spammy or whatever the case may be.

 

As SocialSystem warned you previously about your hostility on the LOOC chat. On the IC chat you can insult people all you want as long as you don't use bigotted language, on the OOC and LOOC chat however, hostility and insults are not to be tolerated.

Well, fine, even a 1000 times softer ban is still a proper punishment for your actions. Therefore your ban will be shortened 1000 times, downgrading it to a 1000 times shorter permaban.
