I've been having a bit of a thought about this lately, but I have always found it odd that was is essentially the Captains second-in-command did not have a mindshield implant, from both a game play perspective and from lore perspective.

In terms of the game play perspective, becoming an HOP traitor makes it stupid easy to greentext, or help others greentext. I personally find see it as making it way to easy for a traitor HOP to win to the point of it likely be boring to be a traitor HOP. On top of that, it makes the HOP a prime target for a cult or a vampire, to the point of where they are almost always targeted to be brainwashed.

In terms of lore, why would the person that NT expects to take over the station if the captain is incapacitated or cryo's not be immune to brainwashing, along with said person having access to a terminal that can give anyone in the station AA not be immune to brainwashing also. It just makes no sense lore wise why the person who can give themselves or other EoC's AA, It just seems like a major security risk.

What's the communities thoughts on this? I've seen a few people on the Discord agree with me and I was told to make a post here to gauge the community at large opinions.
