Nature of complaint: I believe this would count as misconduct?
 

Brief description (tl;dr here. Just the critical elements):

I was illegally murdered and borged by players, which isn’t the problem, the issue is that an admin was actively interfering with the process/investigation of the borging by spawning himself in round and interacting with the officer/officers investigating while the instance had been acknowledged by him prior yet he had not input until much later after repeated communication. For context only two admins were online at this time.

Full description of events:

I had rolled Syndicate with a NAD objective and one assassination objective, I was equipped with adrenals, throwing kit, and a syndicate teleporter. I used all of these fighting Security and Command in the bridge, however one officer claimed I was a changeling confusing a bola for a tentacle to which lead to me being killed and brought to a gibber.

Coolrune acknowledges this in the screenshot below in dchat to which he did not do as he claimed he would.

Later after dragging me to the gibber one officer and the Captain are busy trying to figure out if I was a traitor or a changeling, to which Coolrune spawns himself in actively interjecting himself(the naked man, character Lanny) in the middle of the investigation while my revive timer is burning and they’re ACTIVELY taking illegal actions for Command and Sec, which he acknowledges, but has not done anything about from a CC or OOC standpoint. The first interaction is shown in the video below, though I don't have the part(I had tabbed out so I didn't capture) where I believe he gibs himself Sunrise details later. I may be wrong on that.

 

 

More evidence as to me communicating to him that he’s interrupting a process that is already at worst a rule break, and absolutely IC a violation and having zero input other than to distract after the above video.

To which he does respond and end up investigating despite ignoring every detail prior, those of which he acknowledged in the first screenshot and stop his gimmick that distracted from a process that was already unjustified which was the conclusion he ended up only warning the Captain about.

 

My main complaint is that he inserted himself in the round using his role as admin, actively ignored the activities he was literally witnessing and had acknowledged in dchat to be a distraction to the one officer investigating running around naked. 

The only reason I had not ahelped sooner as I had thought he knew considering again, it had already came up from HIS words that I had been falsely murdered. If he wasn't going to do anything, that's fine, but I ask that any admin not utilize their role to make things more difficult for the RP to sort out choosing to play a gimmick into potential rule break violations and CC stepping in-problems until borderline spammed to stop at least making things more difficult.

 

I disagree with the ruling he gave the players involved, but that's a far more minor complaint and I don't have a screenshot on the actual whole ahelp conversation.

Edit: I want to make it clear, in the following conversation in ahelp, Coolrune confirmed that the Captain had continued with borging under the assumption I was a changeling, hence why the borging happened.

First before getting into this admin complain I want to apologize for the lack of response to this admin complaint there's really no reason it should've taken so long to get a response and have this handled in a more timely fashion. I have spent the last two days double checking on a couple things from the admin's recounting of what happened and what they did themselves both in round and administratively, as well as what you posted here in the complaint itself comparing both to game logs and filling as gaps as needed to get a pretty decent idea of everything that transpired over the round.

Now getting into the admin complaint itself and a little background/information, coolrune was messing with a retired admin by teleporting around them at various points according to the game logs and their recounting of the round. This is why they were in the kitchen's freezer and popped out on them for a quick moment, they weren't following the events of the round closely or specifically related to what was happening with you. After the ahelp from yourself came in they began asking around to various players to see what they knew and what was going on to get a full picture and understanding, such as talking to the captain and the security officer who misidentified you as a changling from seeing you get up rapidly after getting knocked down as well as the bolas that were being tossed confusing them thinking it was a tentacle. Seems to me like this was a case of someone making a rather large mess by accident but the captain still calling for you to be borg'd because they didn't know exactly what you were for certain was a problem here with that and resulted in the captain being talked to regarding it as well the security officer that originally reported you to the captain getting talked to as well. 

Now I will say that this was handled rather poorly from coolrune as his messing around during the round caused a lot of confusion and distraction for sunrise who had been the one to notice you were not a changling and that you instead had syndicate gear on your body, discounting the other security officer was very green and made a bad call at the start. I wanted to double check exactly when red alert was issued and it seemed it happened roughly 40 seconds before they self gibbed and about the time they were still messing with sunrise slightly in the freezer where your body was already stripped and identified by sunrise to be a traitor. Most likely this information was lost due on the captain as they were later talked to regarding the conflicting reports from two security officers.

Having said that normally I would consider this to be more of an IC issue matter as it is rather easy for an admin to miss what's going on during a round for individual cases especially if there's a lot of attack or chat logs going on and especially if the online admins are currently dealing with things already but due to coolrune being most likely a distraction to sunrise it only complicated the situation. Coolrune shouldn't have messed with sunrise during the whole figuring out what you were exactly as it only seemed to cause a bit more confusion to the captain on who was correct, there's also the matter of coolrune not fixing the issue of them being marked as a target when they weren't intended to have joined the game from the start normally. I see some merit in your complaint regarding coolrune, there was multiple things they could've and should've done better but failed to do so. They have admitted that in hindsight they could've done some things better than how they handled it and I will be touching base with them to make sure we're on the same page regarding the issues I can see with what they did during that round.
