I know that Hydroponics isn't actually a farm, but if a Chemist can call themselves a Drug Dealer, I don't see why you can't be a Farmer. I don't quite see why, the hydroponics in this is very similar to real hydroponics, just without the making sense part, and some added nymphs. And by definition it's "a person who owns or manages a farm.", which hydroponics isn't really a farm. To be fair, the definition of a Butcher is someone who cuts up and sells meat, not someone who works in a kitchen and cooks food. Yet it's an alternate Chef title regardless.
