We have fish, why not add Babel fish. Fish that fit in the ear slot and can let you understand all languages (except maybe binary)

Probably be best if it didn't make you able to speak all those languages, just understand.

Universal recorders and PAI's can already do this, the fish would be better back take a bit of effort to get.

It's an interesting idea, but my main concern is that it would be TOO simple to get something like this.

Given the utility of this proposed fish, it would need to be fairly uncommon/difficult to obtain, to avoid people simply rushing one in the first 30 seconds of the round.

Perhaps if/when we return xenoarch, the eggs for this fish could be a potential find? Would make it less commonplace, and actually be a usable reward.

Or maybe a :

-traitor item,

-emagged petvendor,

-rare fish that has 5% chance of hatching from a salmon egg instead of a salmon,

-wizards could get them and they could be rarely be found in the wizard rooms on the asteroid.

EDIT: and vox traders should get one

That's an idea. Make it something that can spawn from the fish tanks. Maybe make it so it doesn't lay any eggs too so the Babel fish won't multiply.
