Add delay to cuffing someone to a chair/bed?

It just seems a little bit too easy, strap/unstrap instantly but take 10 seconds to cuff them in the first place?

3 seconds would do it, if only to eliminate the unstrap/strap spam which certain sec players love to pull.

In a similar vein, perhaps not have operating tables instantly lay someone down, if you're in the surgery theatre and someone manages to get a pull on you it's all over... because you feel obliged to lie down?

If you mean strapping others, please, do.

If you mean strapping yourself, god no. It shouldn't take any more than half a second to willingly sit down in a chair when you remember "I forgot to strap in and the mining shuttle is about to go." Also gets plain annoying when you need to sit down in the bar or on a sofa or whatever.

...Actually, why can't we restrict buckling to Shuttle Chairs and make it so you just sit down in normal chairs? It seems ridiculous that EVERY FUCKING CHAIR AND BED has a seatbelt.

Yeah of course, otherwise it'd silly...

It is space after all, zero-gravity could come at any time, it's how I explain away the straps anyway.

That's what I always thought. I noticed that stools don't have straps and that's because it would be silly. Also can't you beat someone with those?

But yeah, straps are needed in space otherwise you'll float away while asleep if the gravity goes off
