I'm for a new weapon that could murder more commits but I have to ask, would a frag grenade gib someone if they are on the same tile or at most just remove some limbs? Dare I ask putting one into someone's inventory?

It should probably remove a leg or something, gibbing is too much. For reference:

The M67 can be thrown 30 to 35 metres (98 to 115 ft) by the average male soldier. Its fuze delays detonation between 4 and 5 seconds after the spoon is released. Steel fragments (not to be confused with shrapnel) are provided by the grenade body and produce an injury radius of 15 metres (49 ft), with a fatality radius of 5 metres (16 ft), though some fragments can disperse as far out as 250 metres (820 ft).

It would be a great addition to Nuke Ops if you're looking for an antag application, throw a frag into the bar, retreat to cover while laughing manicly, then go in to observe the war crime you commited against unarmed civilians.

Does raise an issue though.

Ballistics don't really lose any energy as they travel through the air, so if you're unlucky, that bit of shrapnel from that grenade in escape can take off your head as you walk past medbay... That might be a problem...
