So there are the different brands of limbs right?

Why is there next to no difference between them?

I feel like there should be some benefits and downsides to them all

If you don't like that you can just use unbranded

A few ideas I had are:

Benefits:

Self repairing - It will fix its self (duh)

Strong metal - It will deal more brute when punching someone with that arm

fiberglass fingers - insulated gloves for that hand only

Tough stuff - Will break slower

Downsides:

brittle metal - will break faster

battery powered - has a power cell that you need to recharge or it won't work

loose connections - Random chance to drop held objects

faulty wiring - take a lot of burn damage when shocked

There are some you can't have together like Tough stuff and brittle metal

Leave suggestions

No thanks, the different brands are meant to be aesthetic and for visual appeal only. Some people like having blue and white arms, and some like rickety brown looking legs, doesn't mean they should have any differing effect besides what cyberlimbs have initially.

Now if we're talking upgrades to cybernetic limbs that Robotics can do... hm..

And not everyone likes how unbranded sprites look, just because people don't want fancy powers and afflictions doesn't mean they should be locked to something they dislike, especially if previously the only differences had were sprites.

How about something like the disability tab?

Where you can still have what ever arm you want to, but if you want this sort of thing you can have it

We've been floating ideas around for different cybernetics, with different brands having different features for awhile, but so far it hasn't been properly sorted and balanced, nor coded.

I like the idea in theory, but it needs more fleshing out.
