This shouldn't be, as it significantly lowers the effectiveness of the MedERT until they stop by medbay. Proposal: Amber and Red MedERT start with an advanced health scanner in their backpacks. Gamma MedERT could be special and get an advanced medhud that acts as a health scanner. Viva la Medica.
