Department caste system with doctors and nerds getting free reign to have whatever hair colour they want, the plebs can make do with crew cuts and various shades of brown. Command of course have the exclusive right to bear neon. It's something that should really be handled in character. Dont like the way someone looks? Say it IC could lead to some RP. Have to agree here. You can be a bright neon green Tajaran all you want, but just be prepared for someone asshole (Derth) to come up to you in game and call you a radioactive furbeast. 10/10 made me laugh. In seriousness at least limit it to a certain degree of shading.
