Instead of one wizard, there is two. They belong to competing schools factions: Griefyndor and Shitlerin.

 

They have but one objective: Cause more damage to the station than the other wizard so their side can win the Robust Cup.

...I'd be kinda interested in an offical friendly wiznerd. Give healing wands to medbay, etc. Try to help and cancel out the damage of greifyndor without actively fighting them.

 

Especially if the crew have no way to tell who is really is the friendly wizard.

The idea is that there's going to be more motivation to cause death and destruction (and thus fun) if they have a rival.

 

but there could be a friendly faction too. We'll call em Snugglepuff

Yin and Yang, one exists to help, the other to harm. This needs to be trialled as an admin event.

Asshole Wizard vs Asshole Wizard, possibly with Friendly Brozard caught up in the middle. Amazing.

 

There's even assets for this already in-game - red and blue magus armor & robes, plus the touhou costume.

It does sound like fun. The issue I'd see is that gamemodes get boring. It not being a constant is why setups like this sound really entertaining as some kind of event or trigger though.
