Complaint: I'm malcontent with the way flattestguitar9 handled my permanent ban.

Story: I was a traitor, and I had to get a document which was in security. The HoS and his officers already suspected me of being a changeling, because a sec officer shouted my name when being spaced. I subverted the AI, telling it to kill all security and release all prisoners, so I can go into security without being chased. Suddenly, I get permbanned.

 

My complaint is that I got permabanned without the admin talking to me. I never got a warning, or a question why I subverted the AI, I just got banned. This seemed to be a strange ban, since nothing of my side of the story was asked.

Greetings.

 

Following investigation of the matter at hand, and a discussion with the Administrator in question, the following points have been deemed relevant to this Complaint:

 

1) While we can understand the reason why you ordered the AI to kill Security, this would still fall under the umbrella of Excessive Antagonist Action. As a norm, we do not permit preemptive murdering of Security if you are not an Antagonist that is, by definition, round-ending, such as a Blob or a Wizard;

 

2) As noted by the Administrator in question, the Ban was a result of a long string of notes and incidents attached to your account. They have, to the best of my knowledge and memory, discussed this with you when talking about the Antagonist Ban;

 

However:

 

3) Your side of the story, was not considered, or in fact asked for. This is a crucial matter, and indeed a very valid complaint. Barring extreme circumstances (such as massive bomb grief), it is customary for Administrators to contact individuals believed to be breaking the Server Rules. This situation was not an exception, and yet, was treated like one;

 

4) As a result, the Administrator in question has been spoken with, and provided with a stern warning regarding proper action in handling situations similar to these in the future. Namely, they have been informed that, barring the extreme circumstances mentioned above, they are to contact individuals before applying any sort of punishment or warning. The Administrator in question has, as well, offered their apologies, and a promise that this situation will not be repeated.
