=Basic Chemistry (Read First)=
When we talk about chemicals and chemical processing in-game, there are a few important things to keep in mind to understand how this all works:
* '''A tick is a "game turn", which takes approximately 2 seconds. Most chemicals do their effect each tick. "Per tick" is omitted from description.'''
**''For example, Bicaridine has 15u in pill. It heals 1 {{BRUTE}} damage per tick, and metabolizes at a rate of 0.2u per tick. Then, it will have its effects for 15/0.2 = 75 ticks, or 150 seconds, and will heal 75 {{BRUTE}} damage in total.''
** If an effect is NOT per tick - it is explicitly stated. It is usually {{Key|'''ON INJECT'''}}, which means when the reagent enters your body, whether by injection, pill, gas or any other way.
* '''Damage types are''' {{BRUTE}}, {{BURN}}, {{OXY}}, and {{TOX}}.
** There are additional special damage types for certain chemicals. These are {{CLONE}}, {{STAM|STAMINA}}, and {{ORG|ORGAN}}.
* '''OD is Overdose. Critical OD is worse than OD, and has its effects added to OD effects.''' In table, first comes OD, then Critical OD.
* '''Some reagents have different pain effects for different levels.''' + and - indicate ADDITIONAL change at each level. Negative amounts (-5) indicate a '''''reduction''''' in pain. Positive amounts (+5) indicate an '''''increase''''' in pain.
* You can hover over reagents needed in the formula to see how to create them.
* '''Number of chemicals processable is determined by the kidneys.''' A healthy set can process up to 5 chemicals at once - any above that will cause a dizziness and periodic confusion. A damaged set will cause the user to vomit in addition to lowering the number of chemicals before becoming dizzy and confused.

This page is a part of the TGMC wiki.
TGMC is a project based on the CM-SS13 codebase. |
Basic Chemistry (Read First)
When we talk about chemicals and chemical processing in-game, there are a few important things to keep in mind to understand how this all works:
- A tick is a "game turn", which takes approximately 2 seconds. Most chemicals do their effect each tick. "Per tick" is omitted from description.
- For example, Bicaridine has 15u in pill. It heals 1 BRUTE damage per tick, and metabolizes at a rate of 0.2u per tick. Then, it will have its effects for 15/0.2 = 75 ticks, or 150 seconds, and will heal 75 BRUTE damage in total.
- If an effect is NOT per tick - it is explicitly stated. It is usually ON INJECT, which means when the reagent enters your body, whether by injection, pill, gas or any other way.
- Damage types are BRUTE, BURN, OXY, and TOX.
- There are additional special damage types for certain chemicals. These are CLONELOSS, STAMINA, and ORGAN.
- OD is Overdose. Critical OD is worse than OD, and has its effects added to OD effects. In table, first comes OD, then Critical OD.
- Some reagents have different pain effects for different levels. + and - indicate ADDITIONAL change at each level. Negative amounts (-5) indicate a reduction in pain. Positive amounts (+5) indicate an increase in pain.
- You can hover over reagents needed in the formula to see how to create them.
- Number of chemicals processable is determined by the kidneys. A healthy set can process up to 5 chemicals at once - any above that will cause a dizziness and periodic confusion. A damaged set will cause the user to vomit in addition to lowering the number of chemicals before becoming dizzy and confused.
Machinery
Chemical Dispensers
This is theoretically your bread and butter in the production of various chemicals. You press buttons and this machine squirts out chemicals that you want to react together in order to make drugs.
- You can save recipes here to save a lot of time!
ChemMaster
Separates, filters, and packages reagents into useable forms.
- Any reagents left in the buffer when a beaker is removed will be deleted.
- Can make 30u injectors, 60u liquid bottles, and 240u pill bottles containing sixteen-15u pills. It is also capable of generating its own pill bottles.
All-In-One Grinder
Grinds, crushes, liquefies and extracts reagents from materials placed into it.
- If there is a reagent associated with the item, the grinder will distill a pure sample inside the collection beaker.
- For example: Phoron and surgically removed xenomorph embryos for liquid Phoron and Larva Jelly, respectively.
NanotrasenMed Plus
Dispenses reagent bottles that you can empty into beakers.
- Can refill bottles and injectors infinitely (as long as it's something that can be vended, so no Neuraline or custom injector refills).
