A smartgunner's role is defined completely by the tool that they carry: the mighty Smartgun. It allows the wielder to shoot safely behind their comrades: multiplying the firepower of a group. While it may pale in comparison to a tank or a Spec's armament, it is still very lethal in the right hands. It's designed as a support weapon: keeping away and finishing off enemies who would otherwise flee from a lack of bullets to the skull.
