"Hey, this isn't Lavaland!"
Lavaland is the new primary workplace for Shaft Miners. Unfortunately, Nanotrasen considers Freyja to be "mineral rich" and "just as good as Indecipheres" and "the cost of sending all of you to space would bankrupt us", so it looks like you are stuck on this shithole.
After exhausting all the hostile wildlife minerals on the asteroid, Nanotrasen scoured space for a new source for that sweet, sweet Plasma. Unluckily for you, they found a young planet completely covered in ice and with plasma lakes a-flowing. And also a whole host of dangerous creatures (read: blue variants of normal earth animals and also dragons). By that, we mean There are so many fucking dragons what the fuck Did we mention the snow storms? They are a lot deadlier then the name would imply. After getting rid of the dangerous creatures building the station tall enough so that the dragons couldn't torch the windows, they dropped you on this planet and left you to fend for your self. Don't forget to grab a bluespace shelter capsule A bluespace capsule wont be too helpful. In the wastes, the ice storms will be the least of your worries.
Welcome to Lavaland Icemoon.

Hazards
Icemoon is full of natural hazards. Snow Storms are the most least prominent hazard, only occurring on the first z level. Other than that, work exactly like the lavamoon ashstorms.
Lava Liquid Plasma presents itself as the next most common hazard, walking into Plasma will deal massive burn damage to you. Even worse, the wildlife are immune to Plasma and can wade freely into it. However Plasma is very obvious and thus easy to avoid.
The final threat are chasms, Due to the soft snow of Icemoon and its multi z level nature, chasms are no longer lethal. You will only fall into a lower z level. Now the only issue is to get back up...
Gases and Pressure
Icemoon has a random gas mix every round, requiring you to use internals. The pressure is low enough to give you a pressure warning HUD icon, but it's not low enough to deal actual pressure damage. The temperature is random COLD, SO COLD, but stays in levels safe for humans. Icemoon gasses can be mined if you have an RPD and set up scrubbers and set up an air alarm outside on a constructed wall, from there the scrubbers outside set up by you can be accessed via hacking the air alarm. Rare lavaland gasses can include Plasma, BZ, Miasma and Water Vapor. Common Icemoon gasses include N2O or CO2.
Sentient Life
Stranded hermits: Individuals who arrived by escape pod and live in a makeshift shelter. If they're found and taken up to the station, they'll probably get robusted by security for being escape-pod-using fucking cowards. Icemoon Syndicate: Syndicate agents operating a comms base on Icemoon. Their base is literally a fully functional station on Icemoon - they have their own cargo bay, bar, armory, warehouse of T4 parts science department, medbay, chemistry lab, and even a goddamn virology lab (not confirming ANY of that myself). The kicker is, they can fuck with the station's telecomms, remotely saying shit over radio/PDA message FOR people, until they get found by miners and looked at from a distance because the station can't figure out how to get over the lava moat raided by security officers.
