The rush for the system, along with a general inexperience, caused many tragedies and accidents. The White Ship - otherwise known as the Medical Frigate and now the Abandoned Ship - was transporting a medical ERT to a former station when it came under attack from the Syndicate, tearing off the berthing-propellant and engineering 'tail'. The Syndicate moved off, letting it drift. Most of its crew died onboard, some fled through space itself, leaving some items behind.
