Fire is the protection against burn damage caused by being on fire.
Melee is the protection against brute or burn damage caused by melee attacks.
Laser is the protection against brute or burn damage caused by lasers. Also reduces the slowness intensity and duration of a Watcher freeze beam.
Explosion is the protection against brute or burn damage caused by explosions(Gibtonite, KA and so on).
Projectile is the protection against brute or burn damage caused by projectiles(Ballistic weapons, etc. Colossus death bolts ignore armor. ).

Fire brand. Made with 2 wooden planks. Essentially a match. Use it to light stuff up.
Tribal splint. Used to make sure broken bones don't move around and scratch your insides. Made with 2 bones and 1 watcher sinew.
Bonfire. Made with 5 wood cap logs, not 5 planks. Makes light when lit. That's it.
A Rake. Used to take uproot weeds, made with 5 planks. You most likely won't need it as long as you follow the gardening guide.
Wooden bucket. 3 planks, used to milk guthen and water plants. You should start with one of these in your nest.

Mushroom bowl. Made with 5 mushroom shavings. You can get these from harvesting tall mushrooms. Can contain up to 50 units.
Goliath bone oar, made with 2 bones. Use to move and steer the Goliath boat.
