The Offer
When becoming a traitor, you may be offered the chance to become a Syndicate Contractor.
On top of their primary objectives, a Contractor has the ability to take on randomly generated kidnapping contracts to earn telecrystals. This opportunity is made obvious by an additional message displayed along with the primary objectives:
"You have been offered a chance to become a Contractor. Contractors forfeit 20 telecrystals for the privilege of taking on kidnapping contracts for credit and TC payouts that can add up to more than the normal starting amount of TC. If you are interested, simply access your hidden uplink and select the "Contracting Opportunity" tab for more information.
This offer will expire in 10 minutes starting now."
Long story short, you can forfeit your 20 initial telecrystals (if you spend any of them, the offer is void!) to become a Contractor through the uplink hidden in your PDA. The offer only lasts for 10 minutes before it goes away — becoming a Contractor is something you commit to!
Becoming a Contractor
If you are ready to do the jump and join the elite, access the hidden uplink within your PDA and you will find a new tab called Contracting Opportunity, alongside a timer indicating how much time the offer has left. Clicking it will display a confirmation box — accept the offer.
Two things will happen then:
- You will lose all of your 20 TC, but don't worry! You will have the chance of earning them and more.
- You will receive a Contractor Kit that contains essential supplies to get you started as a Contractor. It contains:

| 3 random low TC cost items | A random assortment of Syndicate Items to aid you in your contracting endeavours. Most items cost less than 5 TC and there may not be duplicates.
