There are two ways of obtaining a modular computer. The most reliable way is to buy one from the Laptop Vendor, found in [[Primary Tool Storage]]. Theoretically it is possible to build your own modular computer with the combination of the [[Autolathe]], the [[Protolathe]], and the [[Circuit Imprinter]], but as for now it is impossible [https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/7893 due to a bug].

The Chat Client is something like the PDA messaging groups but it has three major differences. Two, you get '''no notification about new messages''', making it great for [[Traitor|stealthier users]]. And lastly but most importantly, it works via the NTNet Quantum Relay.
 
The NTNet Quantum Relay '''transmits messages across all seven z-levels''' and it only requires one machine to operate. There is one NTNet Quantum Relay at [[Telecommunications]] at roundstart. Should it get destroyed, it can be rebuilt via the [[Circuit Imprinter]].
