Recovered NT Employee corpse

Medical may order the body of a previously deceased Nanotrasen employee, either from this station or another.

They will arrive inside a a body bag in a freezer. They start with formaldehyde in their bodies so you don't have to worry about decay.

Your job is to bring them back! Fix whatever killed them, and any decay or organ/limb loss may have occurred. When the body is fixed, you can revive them to bring a new player back into the round! Bodyswapping is not covered by their insurance, so don't do it!

If no ghost takes the body, it will die again. Revive it again to retry.

On success

The new crewmember arrived with a mind-lockbox, make sure they get it! It contains vital equipment for them to get started.

After 3 minutes of continued survival, a medical announcement will inform you of your success, and the original cost of the package + a little extra will be sent to the medical budget.

Maximizing success

Ghosts can see how messed up the body is. Having a healthy body makes the odds of a ghost taking it quite a bit bigger! No one wants to spend 5 minutes looking at themselves in crit when you could've fixed this beforehand!

Also take into account the current server population. There may just not be any ghosts to take the body, in which case make some just keep it around until there are!

Upgrades people, Upgrades!

Before reviving a recovered crew corpse, consider installing some cybernetic enhancements assuming science has performed the requisite research. This can create crewmembers stronger than shiftstart ones, along with increasing general utility and power, some examples of highly useful implants include...

Nutriment pumps, welding shields, toolset implants: Reduce food consumption, provide welding immunity, or have a suite of fast tools in their arms, removing the need to lug around tools.

Xray and thermal vision, combat implants like revivers, CNS rebooters, and antidrops: Are less useful if the revived crewmember does not see combat often, however installing these in recovered security officers can give you a massive advantage over antagonists, allowing them to retake or maintain control of the station.

Breathing tubes, implanted thruster implants: are really niche and only useful for space exploration, even less useful on recovered crewmates as most of the time they'll be staying onstation.

Cybernetic organs of all types, from livers to lungs: Don't decay, allowing for easy revival assuming no EMP shenanigans.

You're not a doctor...

On occasion, recovered crew corpses may be ordered by departments other than medical, such as robotics who will most likely fully augment, install cybernetic organs on every part of them, and steal borrow a defibrillator from medical to revive them. You should let other departments be unless they actively steal corpses you are working from directly from medical.

Keep in mind antagonists such as traitors, spies, changelings and heretics like to secure recovered crew in order to revive and brainwash them or use their body for their antagonistic goals. On the topic of antagonists, successfully revived recovered crewmembers can roll from any midround dynamic ruleset, from sleeper agents to an obsession awakening.
