Emotes

Emotes are ways for your character to express themselves while in-game. Use emotes by opening the say dialogue with T and type in the emote. Custom emotes can be made with the me dialogue by pressing M. Emotes can be bound to keyboard keys from the Key Bindings tab in the Character Setup menu.

Some emotes can be targeted to specific characters or items by typing the emote followed by a dash and the character's/item's name, for example: *bow-NAME. The name does not have to be fully complete for the targeted emote to work, for example: *bow-ko will still make your character bow to someone named Koiin Aikota.

Carbon Emotes

A list of emotes all crewmembers can do, irrespective of species. Many of these can also be used by player-controlled Animals.

These emotes requires another person to click on you with an empty hand to be successful. Requests last for 10 seconds after which the emote will fail.
