The "Frontier" is less a conventional governing body and more a fundamental concept synonymous with freedom. It represents uncharted territories and lawless regions where no specific governing entity, be it human or alien, can assert control or claim governance. Those humans who hail from the Frontier are often categorized as spaceborns, born into an environment characterized by smuggling, piracy, and the relentless pursuit of uncharted worlds for potential habitation. Life on the Frontier has shaped the beliefs and cultures of its inhabitants, rendering them simple nomads whose influence extends solely over their own lives and interactions with fellow wanderers. These nomads, whether driven by peaceful intentions or driven by more malicious motives, coexist within this vast expanse, where freedom is the prevailing principle.

The expansive universe and its size have made it impossible for complete knowledge on what exist far beyond the borders of developing species, even being mysterious to the older space fairing species like Vox and Grey. Many stars have some type of fringe mining station, or private colony living aboard its ecosystem. These places are either so small they are not viewed as real governing bodies who have politcal sway in the Sectors politics, or so well hidden, that only a handful or people know their location and path of travel. Humanities first offical documentation of the Frontier Sectors would constantly evolve and expand as the Trans-Solar Federation continued its expanse of star systems, and colonies under their control. After sometime, the goverment and its people would be under attack during the Kidan War, in which the federation won. After this war, Frontiers would seemsly slow down as threat from rogue Kidan and pirate opportunist made it difficult for the TSF to expand. While it did slow down, the growth did not cease, and eventually farther expansion led to more oppertunity outside the borders to be explored, and reviewed for possible investment by the corporations and goverment. The second notice of expansion would occur after the Cygni War, in which the TSF losing would lose several important colonized holdings to Independents, and the newly formed United Soviet Socialist People. Many once worlds undergoing colonization would feel a severe disconnect from their main body goverment, as supplies and navigation made it difficult or impossible to run logistics. These holdings would either turn Independet, and succesfully secede from the TSF, or completely go dark in communications outside, becoming the first Frontier Sectors. The Frontier in modern times has become more secretive in where people come from, most groups within the Frontier are simply nomadic and survive on the ethos of Spacers. Several areas of the Frontier are considered Ghost Systems, as their distance, and possible incursion from other factions make them unoptimal to expand and colonize into. These areas are
- The Carmine Zone
An area of the sector completely shrouded in crimson like galactic stardust. It undergoes constant galactic storms and has been considered inhospitable for its natrual hazards. Its thick stardust make it difficult to navigate for ships, and have been known to block telecommunications to the outside. Nomadic Spacers are well suited and experienced to navigate the zone, and have been called on for as guides when crossing.
