|A syringe is a container especially used for holding liquids. They have two modes -- inject and draw. While in draw mode, a syringe takes liquids from other liquid containers such as bottles and beakers <i>and even people </i>5 units at a time. While in inject mode it will push its contents 5 units at a time into a target, including other containers.
|Pills can be swallowed as a medical treatment to both the living and dead. On-contact chemicals will not function in pills. Each one can contain up to 100 units of active chemicals.

|-
A syringe can hold up to 15 units of liquid and will survive reactions happening inside of it in spite of appearances.
!PatchChemist_Patch <br>

|Patches are used for on-contact chemicals, or for standard chemicals with low overdose thresholds.<br>Standard chemicals will have their full amount slowly injected over time, until the patch runs out. They can hold up to 30 units of chemicals.
They are most often found inside syringe boxes in the open around Medbay or in medical lockers or in Medical crates ordered from the Quartermaster. Medical dispensers also provide a number of empty syringes.

Specialised pre-filled syringes can also found in medical kits, such as Charcoal, and Spaceacillin syringes are also in medical dispensers. Emptying charcoal syringes and filling them up with unstable mutagen and acid to inject with people is a good way to assassinate or incapacitate someone under the guise of helping them.

|Contains 100 regenerating energy points. Each reagent you wish to use costs one energy point. It remains on during a power outage, though it will not recharge points unless it is receiving power. This machine provides the chemist with most of the raw materials to ply his trade. It has 100 units of energy, and each chemical created uses one energy unit. The energy replenishes at about 1 unit per minute.
|A machine used to create and dispense chemicals. With built in power cells it is able to operate without connection to the power grid, but once it runs out of power it will be unable to produce chemicals. Connected to the grid the dispenser will slowly recharge.

The machine needs a container to dispense chemicals. Beakers, bottles, glasses, buckets, and even milk cartons can be used to operate the machine.

Object Location Purpose Description
Medical HUD
Healthhud.png
Primary Storage
Operating Theatre
This will allow you to immediately see how injured someone is. Shows different information on your HUD. The bar represents the health of the patient, green being healthy and red being unhealthy. The icon represents their health state, a cross represents they do not have any visible afflictions, a sick icon means they have a virus and a heartbeat icon will mean they are suffering from a critical condition such as shock or heart failure.
Health Analyzer
Health Analyzer.gif
Medical Kits
Emergency NanoMed
NanoMed Plus
Examination of patient vitals and damage levels. Scans patients and displays their overall health status.
In detail, it shows their blood level, blood type, pulse, genes, body temperature, damage levels and limbs affected, fractures, infections, radiation, and viruses. (Note: If a patient has internal bleeding or bone fractures, the scanner will only inform you that they exist, not where they are on the body.)
Health Analyzer Upgrade
Healthupgrade.png
Printed in R&D Enhancement of Health Analyzer functions. A little gadget that is attached onto a regular Health Analyzer. Shows a patient's ingested reagents, their amount and any active addictions.

Note: Advanced Health Analysers from NanoMed Plus are already upgraded!

Medical Hypospray
Medical hypospray.png
NanoMed Plus Rapid delivery of medicine. The Hypospray can instantly inject some (5u at a time, 15u max) of its contents. Can only hold harmless chemicals (generally this means ones that cannot deal damage in any circumstance, including overdose) unless emagged. A savvy doctor might fill it with a mix of medicines to quickly stabilize a critical patient (for example a 1:1 mix of epinephrine and saline-glucose solution). If emagged, accepts harmful chemicals and penetrates hardsuits.
Defibrillator
Defrib.gif
Primary Storage
Operating Theatre
Reviving the dead. A defibrillator, used for reviving recently deceased patients. Ctrl+click it in order to grab the paddles, then use them in your hand in order to grab one paddle in each hand. Patients who committed suicide cannot be revived. If out of charge, remove the power cell by using a screwdriver on it, then charge the cell at a Cell Charger. If emagged or subjected to an EMP, becomes an incredibly potent weapon.
Compact Defibrillator
Compact Defibrillator.gif
Printed in R&D Reviving the dead. A compact defibrillator that can be attached as a belt or stored in a backpack. Works just like a normal defibrillator. If out of charge, remove the power cell by using a screwdriver on it, then charge the cell at a Cell Charger.
Handheld Defibrillator
Handheld defib.png
Primary Storage
Operating Theatre
Restarting hearts, healing respiratory damage. A small handheld defibrillator, used to resolve cardiac arrest and heal respiratory damage. Only works on patients who are in critical condition. They will recharge on it's own after a short cooldown. WILL NOT REVIVE PEOPLE! If emagged, becomes an incredibly potent weapon.
Handheld Crew Monitor

Chemistry Objects

Object Description
Dropper
Dropper.png
For quick application of a chemical to some one, usually for self defence. Also good for transferring single units of silicate and thermite to your "splashing" beaker. Ether and acids can be rapidly applied to people with this tool.
Science Glasses
Chem Glasses.png
Standard eyewear for the chemist, protect the eyes against chemicals. Also allows you to see what chemicals are in a container.
Pill Bottle
Pill Bottle.png
This little container can hold up to 50 pills . Make sure to label it to remember what it contains.
Bottle
Bottle.png
Especially made for holding liquids. They can be made by a chemist from the ChemMaster 300 and are mostly used to fill syringes and automenders.

Unlike bottles from the NanoMed Plus, they can hold up to 50 units of liquid.

Beaker
Beaker.png
Useful for mixing in, or for splashing chemicals with.

This is a container specifically for holding liquids. They are most commonly found in Medical and Chemistry Lab. It is ill-advised to splash whatever you find in a beaker onto your face and neck, or if possible, to inject it straight into your veins with a syringe. Standard glass beakers hold 50 units of liquid. Large beakers hold 100 units.

Pill
Pills.gif
Pills can be swallowed as a medical treatment to both the living and dead. On-contact chemicals will not function in pills. Each one can contain up to 100 units of active chemicals.
Patch
Bandaid.png
Patches are used for on-contact chemicals, or for standard chemicals with low overdose thresholds.
Standard chemicals will have their full amount slowly injected over time, until the patch runs out. They can hold up to 30 units of chemicals.
Chemistry bag
Chembag.png
The chemistry bag can hold up to 50 items, however it will only pick up pills, patches, bottles and beakers. You can click with the chemistry bag while holding it to pick up all items on the tile that it can hold, and click on a smartfridge or pill bottle to empty it's contents on it for convenience.
Grenade
Grenade.png
A grenade assembly is infrequently made by chemists in order to create healing grenades. Keep in mind that making explosives is a breach of SOP for a Chemist.

Chemistry Machines

Object Description
Chem Dispenser
Chem Dispenser.gif
A machine used to create and dispense chemicals. With built in power cells it is able to operate without connection to the power grid, but once it runs out of power it will be unable to produce chemicals. Connected to the grid the dispenser will slowly recharge.
ChemMaster 3000
ChemMaster.gif
Separates, bottles, and makes tablets/patches out of the chemicals you loaded inside. You can load it with any container that can fit in the chem dispenser. Just select the amount of each chemical you with to work with. Ejecting the container while working on a chemical will make the chemical go to waste. You can make pills, patches, and bottles with it.
Reagent Grinder
All-In-One grinder.png
Grinds, crushes, liquefies, and extracts reagents from materials placed into it. If there is a significant reagent associated with the item, the Reagent grinder will distill a pure sample inside the collection beaker.

Works on:
Pills and patches, usefull if you mess up.
Refined sheets of mined minerals (plasma, gold, uranium, bananium, and silver)
Grown foods (bananas, liberty caps, corn, carrots, and chilies)
Other grown items (nettles and death nettles)

ChemHeater
Chemical heater.png
Used to make chemical reactions by heating up the reagents.
