Items

Secbelt.pngSecurity Belt

A standard-issue belt for security officers. Can hold stun batons, flashbangs, handcuffs, flashlights, and other security related equipment.

Pepperspray.pngPepperspray

Pepperspray or Capsaicin is used to temporarily disable a person by blinding them and inflicting severe pain. It won't work if the target has a mask and isn't very effective against someone wearing eye protection.

Hailer.pngHailer

A device used to tell people to stop, without having to shout at them yourself.

Sunglasses.pngSunglasses

Sunglasses are commonly found in maintenance. They protect against flashes of all kinds, but won't protect against the effects of a Welding Tool. Sunglasses will protect a user from having chemicals squirted into their eyes, and provides some protection against eye stabbing.

File:Secsunglasses.pngHUDSunglasses

These function exactly the same at protecting your eyes, but allow you to see the Jobs and wanted level of a person at a glance, as well as any tracking or loyalty implants. additionally, if you examine a person while wearing them you can change their wanted level (to arrest, release etc.), add notes about them and see current notes and crimes. Note that you can only edit the crimes on security records.

Earmuffs.pngEarmuffs

Protects your ears from loud noises. You won't be able to hear gunshots, screams, footsteps, flashbangs, or just about anything.

SecHailer.pngSecurity Gas-Mask

A standard issue gas mask that comes equipped with a hailer. Functionally identical to a regular gas mask.

Forensic Scanner.pngForensic Scanner

A device used to scan objects for DNA, fingerprints and fibres to be references against the security records database.

Gunholsterbig.png Holster

A holster put on a suit that can hold a gun. Only standard issue for the detective.

File:Webbing Vest.pngWebbing Vest

A black synthcotton vest with lots of pockets to hold anything from grenades to tools.

File:SpaceLaw.png Space Law

An official copy of Space Law, made available to any and all security personnel.

Evidence Bag.pngEvidence Bag

Bags used to hold criminal evidence, preserving evidence and preventing any further contamination.

Handcuffs.pngHandcuffs

A handy pair of standard issue handcuffs. A handcuffed person can't open doors, hold items, or escape if they're being restrained/pulled.

A freedom implant can remove them instantly.

Flash.pngFlash

Flashes are a small device that produce an extremely bright light that is capable of blinding someone for approximately three seconds when immediately adjacent to the user. This light will overcome visual senses, causing disorientation, pain, and discomfort. A person targetted specifically with the flash you will not only be blinded, but completely disoriented and cause them to drop anything in their hands. However, a flash will not work against anybody wearing protective eyewear such as welding helmets or sunglasses. If you target a borg with a flash it will overload it's optical sensors and stun it for a short duration. It is distributed by SecTech vendors that are found in Equipment Room

Weapons

File:StunBaton.gifStun Baton

A standard issue, battery-operated stun baton that can be toggled between an active and inactive state. When active any person unfortunate enough to be hit with it will be stunned for a small period of time.

File:Telebaton.pngTelescopic Baton

Issued to any and all Heads of Staff, as well as the detective. When extended it can provide a short and harmless stun ranging between two to three seconds, the baton itself is incapable of effectively stunlocking a target as it has a delay between usage.

File:Taser.pngTaser

A ranged alternative to the stun baton, providing a similar stun-time but only capable of firing five shots before requiring a recharge. It's effective maximum range is seven metres, and the taser shot itself can be dodged/outrun by a person utilizing an adrenaline implant.

Can be toggled into a disabler setting to fire beams that cause stamina damage to a target, slowing them down and eventually causing them to collapse after multiple shots. Disabler beams have no maximum range, and will continue to travel until they impact either a target or a wall.

Energy Gun.gifEnergy Gun

The Energy Gun or E gun for short. Is a standard energy weapon used in red alerts with two setting:

1) Disabler setting (blue color)- fires disabler beams at the target/point you aimed at dealing pain damage. You need at least 5 shots to hit (even less) to stun your target. Can pass through windows and grilles.

2) Kill setting (red color)- fires lasers at target/point you aimed dealing burn damage. To kill someone with it you'll need to shoot and hit them with it until they collapse and die. Can pass through windows and grilles.

Like tasers, energy guns make exceptional melee weapons due to their uncanny ability to knock people unconscious when aimed for the head. The Captain, head of Personnel, and Head of Security all have energy guns in their quarters. More are stored in the armory (the warden will distribute them in red alert) and can be ordered in a secure crate by the quartermaster.

File:Laser.pngLaser Gun

Distributed by the Warden. It is as lethal as the energy gun and lacks a non-lethal function. Usually distributed along with Riot Shields in some cases. It is useful for the beating up of people. A ranged energy weapon that shoots lasers, which deal a great deal of burn damage. The bolts fire through glass and grilles. These also can be ordered by the quartermasters in a secure weapons crate, which itself can only able to be opened by the Warden or head of security. It can be recharged.

File:Laser.png Practice Laser Gun

A modified version of the laser gun, this one fires less concentrated energy bolts designed for target practice. It is found and used at the Firing Range. Does NOT do damage of any kind... only used for practice dummies.

File:Ion Rifle.pngIon Rifle

A man portable anti-SYNTH weapon designed to disable mechanical threats or any other electrical device for that matter. Fires an ion bolt at the direction you fired having a very high change to explode on impact in a 3X3 blast disabling any electrical device (air alarms, atoms sensors, force open doors if you blast it enough, flashes, consoles, cameras, etc.). Drains all the charge from energy type weaponry like tasers, stun batons, E guns, Ion rifle and etc. Does not harm organics (humans and the others)

Fun Fact: it can one shot IPCs.

Combat Shotgun.pngCombat Shotgun

Available only if ordered through the Supply Department. Can load 5 shells into it- Five types of shells can be used for different results:

  • Shotgun shell red.png Standard Shell - very harmfull
  • Shotgun shell green.png Beanbag Shell - non-lethal shell, also used by the bartender. Useful for stunning people.
  • Shotgun shell white.png Shotgun Slug - solid projectile
  • File:Stun Shell.png Stun Shell - used to stun people
  • File:Fire Shell.png Incendiary Shell - Lights target on fire

Revolver.pngDetective Revolver

A .38 caliber revolver loaded with rubber bullets that knocks down the target on hit for a short time. The detectives starting gear, he (or anyone else) can name it by right clicking it the typing the wanted name as long it's not offensive.

Speed loader .38.pngSpeedloader

A device used to quickly reload a revolver.

Flashbang.pngFlashbang

This is an advanced piece of equipment that is so difficult to use (if you're retarded). Also distributed by SecTech vendors or the Warden. In room breaches where multiple or armed personnel are expected or for riot control, you may use a flashbrang to "breach' the room. Select it, click on the grenade, and throw it immediately (it will set to "throw intent" automatically, just click on the tile you want the grenade thrown). It will blind everyone nearby for a short period of time and deafen them for a longer period of time. If all goes well, they will be on the ground stunned, having dropped their weapons, and awaiting your handcuffs. Note that if the targets have eye protection they won't be blinded and the same goes for deafening them

Armour

Helmet.pngHelmet

A helmet mitigates the damage from brute, and to a lesser effect laser and ballistic attacks to the head. They can be found in security lockers or hacked security vending machines. The Warden will also have a few spare in the back room. Also a component of securitrons and a distinguishing feature of security officers

Riothelm.pngRiot Helmet

A riot helmet has superior protection when compared to the basic helmet, particularly brute damage. While designed specifically to mitigate the effects of melee attacks, it still provides minor protection against ballistics and laser fire.

File:Secarmor.pngFile:Secaltarmor.pngNormalarmor.pngBody armor

Security armour is a very important part of a security officer's loadout. You can find replacements in lockers found in the Equipment Room as well as within the arrivals checkpoint. If these supplies have been exhausted, the Warden can order more from Cargo office. It's provides protection against brute attacks targetting the chest, as well as a small amount of ballistic and laser protection. Security armour is equipped in the exosuit slot and does not affect movement speed.

Riotarmor.pngRiot Suit

A full suit of riot armor with heavy padding to protect against melee attacks, it also provides minor protection against other types of damage. You can find them in Secure Armory or order them from cargo. Very useful against enemies who rely on melee attacks such as xenos or Cultists. Note that it won't provide you with any ballistic protection unlike the bullet vest.

Ablativearmor.pngAblative Armor

A vest that excels in protecting the wearer against energy projectiles. Provides the wearer with a very high energy damage resistance to the torso and also minor protection against other types of damage.

Bulletproofvest.pngBulletProof Vest

A vest that excels in protecting the wearer against high-velocity solid projectiles. In other words, it gives you a very high resistance to kinetic damage to the torso. The armour is effectively useless against laser or melee attacks.

Detectivearmor.pngDetective Vest

A slightly armored vest, used by the Detective. Body armor with paint on it to make the detective feel special.

HoSarmor.pngHead of Security Armored Trenchcoat

An armored trenchcoat, property of the Head of Security. It provides a high amount of ballistic, brute and laser protection making it the most protective armor available to the crew... Making the HoS one tough cookie.

Sechardsuit.pngSecurity Hardsuit

A Hardsuit for Security forces that protects against the void of space. Has superior protection against brute, laser and kinetic damage compared to other EVA suits.

File:Sechardsuithelm.pngSecurity Hardsuit Helmet

Used with the security hardsuit to provide full protection against the void of space.

Riot.pngFile:Metalriot.pngRiot Shield

Protects against melee attacks to the torso (with riot armor you're basically invulnerable to melee damage) from the direction you're facing (need to check that). prevents high velocity kinetic projectiles like bullets or really fast objects to knock you down. Additionally, people aren't able to disarm you while facing them with the riot shield. Note that all the thing will still apply even if the riot shield isn't on your active hand. lets say you're using your right hand for most things... you'll still benefit from all the pros the riot shield has if you hold it in your left hand, and use your right hand for other stuff (shooting a gun, pouring acid on the clown).

Also makes a decent melee weapon.

Equipment

Portableflash.pngPortable Flash

A portable flasher is an effective device that, when secured to the ground will automatically emit a bright light that will flash nearby entities stunning anyone who runs past if they're not wearing a form of flash protection. (such as sunglasses)

To prepare a portable flasher first bring it to the desired area, then use a wrench to secure the bolts to the ground. A secured portable flasher will emit a bright flash when it's motion sensors detect someone moving past at running speeds (if you walk the sensors won't detect you). If you are not wearing a form of flash protection (such as sunglasses or a welding helmet) you will become momentarily stunned if you are in the proximity of the portable flasher when it goes off. Portable flashers draw power from the APC in the room they're secured in, and won't work when the power is down.

Deployable Barrier.pngDeployable Barrier

A deployable barrier that can be used to block an entrance, or as a barricade against armed forces during red alerts. Can block laser and bullet shots without a problem. To deploy a barrier, first pull it to the desired location then use your ID on it, the barrier will bolt itself to the ground. Note that you'll need a security ID to lock/unlock it.

The barrier can be emagged to be disabled and unbolted if deployed.

File:Recharger.pngFile:Wallrecharger.png Recharger

A conventional recharger for energy devices, it can recharge any energy based device that's run out of power. As a member of security you will most likely be using these to recharge your stun batons and tasers. The recharge time of your energy based devices will vary depending on their maximum capacity and how drained they are.

Using it is as simple as clicking the recharger with the item you want to charge (taser or baton) in hand.

Implantbox.pngTracking Implant

A box full of tracking implements. In the box there is an implant monitor, implanter and implants used for implanting and tracking. To load the implants into the implanter hold it in your hand and click on a fill implant tray. For when to use tracking implants. You can monitor the implanted person location from the prisoner management console in the warden's office or use the mobile monitor in the box.

Implantbox.pngChemical Implant

A box full of implant chemicals. In the box there is a chemical implanter, chemical implant monitor and empty chemical implants for implanting high risk prisoners (or anyone else). To use the chemical implants you first need to fill them with a compound of some kind (sleeping agent or something lethal), you can ask chemistry to make it. After you're done filling your chemical implant, hold it in your hand and click on the filled chemical implant tray. You can monitor the implanted person implant from the prisoner management console in the warden's office or use the mobile monitor in the box for releasing the chemical.

Implant.pngLoyalty Implant

A box full of loyalty implants. These implants are used to ensure that the person implanted isn't susceptible to brainwashing or mind-control techniques. A loyalty implant will prevent cult conversion, significantly slow down shadowling enthrallment and block mindlsave implants. Despite the name and common misconceptions, loyalty implants do not impact the user's opinion of Nanotrasen; an implanted individual is no more loyal than any other crew member.
