Summary

Slime people are an unlockable race that costs 45KP. They have the unique ability to vent crawl through any unwelded vend so long as the sending and desired receiving vents are not welded. They hail from the planet Xarxis 5, as named by human scientists.

Background

The slime people grew and gradually evolved on a Xarxis 5. This being the name given by Earth scientists, the actual name not having an English translation (from Bubblish). Despite being called such, Slime People are in reality not slimes at all. The slimes that are grown and raised in Nanotrasen Xenobiology labs are in fact a different species, related to Slime People in the way that primates are to humans; with similarities, but not, in fact, the exact same race, claims Nanotrasen's scientists.

Despite this, the slime people themselves do not often bother much with the theory, happily associating heavily with Slimes and acting as such.

The Slime People were first discovered, surprisingly, after the discovery of non-sentient slimes. A Nanotrasen scouting vessel saw interest in Xarxis 5 due to its interesting topography , but primarily the profit that could be made by extracting possibly new and rare minerals from its depths. Slimes were abundant, and therefore scouts were able to bring back some living samples. It wasn't until the scouts returned a while after that they found their previously empty camps inhabited by Slime People.

The slime people there were found to be sentient and willing to allow basic tests such as the consistency and biology of their forms. Noting that slime people did not require air, and were not educated in the ways of capitalism, Nanotrasen saw an opportunity. The slime people, not having any space-faring vessels, were eager to see the universe, as they were told. Hired as cheap labor, NT determined a security risk was minimal, and their initial lack of knowledge about mostly anything that would hinder their loyalty or otherwise.

Behavior

Slime people are a generally friendly sort, and thus, if social, are prone to attracting friends. On the other hand, different tribes of slime people of course had different opinions and ways to go about things, some being more territorial or more open to advancement.

Slime people are tight knit, and commonly show a kinship for others of their kind, so long as they share a similar set of ideals.

Culture

Slime people do not have direct roots to Science or other intellectual studies, notably not possessing any space-faring gear, or even signs of industrialization, when they were first discovered. Slime people are mostly minding themselves with getting by day to day, and ensuring their companions do the same. Cities were not a common sight on Xarxis 5, as the land did not allow large stretches of flat areas. As such, slime settlements were obviously rather small in size.

Biology

Slime people being a very peculiar species, have somewhat unique methods of simply living day by day.

To speak, the slime core within the person vibrates accordingly to generate the sound needed to communicate in the human language. Bubblish is spoken by a certain combination of popping noises, easily understood by other slimes. To touch and feel, a manipulation of cells is used in a similar the human hand is. To hear, slime people use a much similar function as when they speak; their cores pick up vibrations from spoken language and interpret them into words. Movement itself is accomplished through a sort of nervous system from the core.

In regards to their physical makeup, Slime People are believed to have evolved from slimes that relocated and spawned in water-rich areas, gradually building up a tolerance over millennia, at the cost of losing the Slimium chemical that made up their physical resistance.

Relations with other Races

Slime people can seen as the only race that is overall completely neutral. With no outside influence and no intentions to be hostile, Slime People often have to make up their own individual opinions on the other races going about, due to many unrecorded 'first contact's with other species and no general hivemind of hatred or liking.

Game Mechanics

- Speech effect: Blue colored text *.

- Slime language :F, Bubblish, very difficult to speak if not a slime.

- No internal organs of any type, and therefore no damage related to such.

- Bleeds water

- Does not need air

- Stronger punches

- Does not slip on banana peels. DOES slip on water, and the Clown PDA. (Untested on soap)
