Vampire

Superiors: The Council of Space Vampires.
Difficulty: Medium
Guides: This is the guide.
Access: Anywhere your mist form will take you.
Duties: Complete your objectives, steal all the crew's blood.

You are a Vampire! Usually the terror of dark, stormy nights, this time you're working for the Syndicate and tasked with terrorizing the NSS Cyberiad. Your objectives will mirror those of regular traitors, except for the task of obtaining a certain amount of blood from living crew. Avoid anything to do with the Chaplain, particularly holy water, and good luck!

Starting Out

When you start out as a Vampire you have aboslutely zero usable blood and a few abilities. You are, for a lack of a better word: A Scrub. Furthermore those starting abilities are fairly useless.

You start out with Rejuvenate, Glare, and Hypnotize. Now something you should know about your abilities.

Hypnotize you can't actually use yet. For that you need to suck someone's blood. Glare only works for a few seconds, which is no where near enough to drain someone's blood. Rejuvinate is good against one stun and then it takes a while to recover from this.

In other words your abilities are good to escape someone and not much else. To actually acquire usable blood you will need to rely on your wits.

Your First Victim

Acquiring your first victim is often very difficult. Here is a sample method:

1. Make some cable ties. 2. Glare at someone in Maintenance Hallway. 3. Tie them up. 4. Drag them away. 5. Remove their Headset. 6. Drain them of their blood. 7. Dump the body in a far away place.

After that you can use hypnotize to stalk down other victims.

How to suck blood

  1. Target head
  2. Attack with empty hand (harm intent)
  3. You will continue to suck blood until you move away from the victim, cover your mouth with anything in the mask slot, or grab your target.

Sucking blood from a living person causes clone damage, and obviously, blood loss+oxygen deprivation.

NOTE:Slime people and Dionas cannot have blood stolen as they do not have blood, make sure to remember this so you don't end up risking your cover only to bite into nothing and have to stash a thrashing slime goop.

Notes

  • DON'T STEP FOOT ANYWHERE NEAR FUCKING SPACE. Even if you take all the precautions and have the most incredible hardsuit or spacesuit on the market, despite their solid construction that stops almost all light and regulates a healthy interior temperature, your skin will inexplicably be set aflame the moment you step out into space. Along with the inability to stop, drop, and roll, due to you foolishly now being in space, the addition of flames to your body will be immediately unwelcomed and will quickly consume you, ushering forth your death. This is an unfortunate and glaring weakness considering the amount of space you might expect to encounter as a space vampire on a space station while playing Space Station 13.
  • Drinking from dead bodies results in only your total blood count going up, does not count for usable blood, and only gives 5 units per cycle instead of 10.
  • Humanized monkeys give 10u of blood each cycle.
  • Blood from containers (glasses, etc) does not count.
  • Once you enthrall someone, they are bound to your will. until they are loyalty implanted or hit with the Bible (POSSIBLY NULL ROD INSTEAD, NEED MORE INFO). Even if cloned, whomever you enthralled will still be under your command. Removing enthralled status is currently not possible.

Lore

An entity that lives in bluespace, and is known to take control of a body as it approaches death. The "soul" is replaced with this entity, who inherits the memories and personality of the body via it's brain.

Able to suck the life force on others, it gains power from this, allowing the entity greater influence over reality from bluespace.

Such presence also gives it vulnerabilities to psychic phenomena, such as waters blessed by the faithful, or the light of stars.

It is illegal to be a vampire, and is to be treated as a changeling or traitor.
