The Medical Department is filled with jobs aiming to keep you alive and healthy. It's made up of Medical Doctors, who heal you should you get hurt or die, the Paramedic, who rescues you from danger when you get hurt and can't get to Medbay yourself, the Virologist, who cures any epidemics and occasionally makes a healing virus, and the Psychologist, who will attempt to help any mental health problems onboard. The Coroner, Chemist, and Geneticist are less essential, but can be very useful when played skilfully. There's a lot of information to learn, from surgeries, to what medications cure what, to how to use this information effectively, but a good medical team is crucial to a smooth shift. Medbay can be calm and good for roleplay or devolve into chaos quickly, either from an infestation, or if someone gets a little stab happy with a chainsaw.
